Trapped from the Future:Escape Rooms — Local services in Temple Terrace

I’ve done several escape rooms and this was by far the worst experience. They had a new lady working and she wasn’t personable at all. She didn’t greet us. When she finally let us in she didn’t know how to operate the walkie talkie so we helped her. She gave us no direction on what to do. She didn’t play any videos for us that are needed in the beginning to assist for clues. She just placed us in the room and said if we need hints to let her know. We asked for a hint and she could not give us a hint. I think maybe if the owners were there it would have been a different experience. But this is what I wanted to do with my family for my birthday and it didn’t work out at all. I don’t think the new hire should have been left alone on a Friday night, she should have been assisted until fully trained. By far the worst escape room I've ever been to!! We set up our reservation for 6:00pm, but our host was half an hour late. The group only has 45 minutes to complete the room, instead of the usual hour. During the debriefing the host was extremely unenthusiastic and made racist comments towards the group. There is no camera for the host to monitor your progress, only a broken walkie talkie to check in occasionally. You do not know how much time you have left as there is no screen to project such information. All the flashlights do not work. And the clues are barely legible.

All in all, avoid booking your escape room experience at Escape The Terrace because it will not be worth your time...

So I want to start off by saying that we have done a lot of escape rooms all around the state of Florida. We went to do the death at the disco and the lady we were greeted by was extremely pleasant. When it comes to the escape room I would not recommend if you are used to doing real escape rooms. The room was just a small office space with stuff thumbtacked to the walls. The clues were easy and the room did not follow any rind of story line. If you have never done an escape room before this could be a good one to get your feet wet but if you have done any before I would stay away if you do not want to be disappointed.
