This place is a hidden gem. I have been wanting to check this place out ever since seeing it featured on Made in Tampa Bay. I learned a lot from that featured story, and the interview with the owner. They roast their nuts in a warehouse in Plant City. They also sell gummy candies that are halal, or don't contain pork gelatin. It's pretty rare to find that in the states. They have a large variety of Turkish delights. They make their own Turkish coffee with cardamom. They sell spices and Middle Eastern wares. Anyway, I just had to check it out.

The first thing I noticed was the décor & atmosphere. It's just a beautiful place to visit. I was a bit overwhelmed at first. The only thing I did know was that I wanted to try that coffee. The nice lady at the counter made me some Turkish coffee while I was walking through the store. It was strong, and exactly what I was expecting (and needed). I've had it a couple of times in the past. This was very similar, but even better than the others.

As I was browsing, I couldn't help but notice all the different types of nuts and seeds that they roast (including watermelon seeds). I didn't get adventurous with the the seeds but I will next time. They had all different flavors. The main attraction was the Turkish delights and baklava. I was immediately attracted to the rose petal one. It was beautifully presented as were all of them in the case. The rose petal one is so unique & delicious! I would get again & again. I also bought some of the Lotus and Katayif flavors which I was told are their most popular ones. Both were very good choices, and so was the ottoman pistachio bar and the pistachio nest. Yes, I love pistachio! My husband tried the pistachio bar and said it was very authentic. Unlike me, he has visited various countries in the Middle East and is very familiar with these treats.

I also bought a pre-packaged bag of their spicy roasted corn nuts for my husband. He loved it! I tried some as well, and they are totally addicting. I'll have to get more of that next time as well. There will be many more next time visits in the future. I want to try the baklava and the watermelon...

STAY AWAY FROM HERE! TLDR: Maggots and bugs in the food and the management/owner is unresponsive to complaints.

My family and I used to be such fans of Roasted. We were loyal customers, until last week we found a MAGGOT in our chocolate that we had gotten just the day before. It was extremely upsetting, and I immediately called the store to let them know. The owner was not available to speak to, and the employee said to message them on social media so her manager was able to see it. I messaged them on Facebook Messenger, along with pictures showing what had happened. It’s been over a week, and I have received no response. I looked at past Google reviews and this has happened to other customers and the store seems to do nothing to fix it. We had also found FLIES in the sunflower seeds we had gotten from there only a week after buying them, which is NOT normal. Another woman posted a Google review from a year ago saying she experienced the same issue of finding maggots in the chocolate and that the owner never contacted her about it like they said he would. That woman’s review was from A YEAR AGO, and it is still happening and they are still unresponsive. Another review said that they had found bugs and cobwebs in the bag of nuts they bought from here. This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable, and they have lost the business and good opinion of my family and friends. It is even more unacceptable that multiple customers have reached out to them about this issue and they have done nothing to acknowledge or remedy it.
