It is shocking what this place is getting away with when you consign your clothes with them. I left 12 items with them and came out with $32. I was on vacation and did not get in to pick up my things that did not sell on the date they told me my 60 days were up and it just so happened a pair of new strappy Colin Stuart sandals that were bought from Victoria's Secret for $70 were donated because I was late picking my clothes up. Strange how they sold after my time was up and were then considered "donated." Donated or "sold" to who is my question, the owner, a friend, very fishy! I wrote a letter regarding how I felt ripped off and received a letter back from the owner telling me how $5 was taken out for set up and $2 for steam cleaning (I washed and pressed everything before taking them up there) and $1 for check fee. I had 10 items sale/donate and I made $32. Next time I will just drive over to Goodwill and donate and get a receipt for taxes and they would be worth more than what I gave these away for. I will never do this again. I will never shop or sale at this store again. I trusted these people and this is what I end up with. I have learned a lesson from...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but this store was beyond disappointing—borderline infuriating. I love supporting small businesses, but I refuse to give my money to rude, condescending, holier-than-thou store owners. Consigning here has no redeeming qualities, with an endless list of fees—an initiation fee, a steaming fee, a cancellation fee, a $20 penalty if you don’t pick up your items after 60 days—and to top it all off, you’re required to supply your own hangers. Meanwhile, a stash of perfectly good ones sits right behind the counter, just out of reach.
And while they don’t even keep the hangers, they have no problem throwing out passive-aggressive remarks if you don’t bring your own. I had to leave the store, go buy hangers, and return—just so they could look at my items. Out of sheer frustration, I left the hangers behind for the next poor soul who didn’t realize they needed to supply their own. The whole experience was nothing short of a joke.
The staff acts like they’re doing you a favor by allowing you to pay them to sell your clothes. Absolutely ridiculous. Hard pass. Do...
Read moreFirst time taking my clothing for consignment and the owner was very rude and sarcastic with one of her employees and short with me when I had questions about the consignment process. I actually felt bad for the older lady that was helping me because the owner didn't realize that she was already taking care of me and then when her employee went to ask her a question, then she responded back to the employee with a rude tone and then turned around back to the customer she was helping and made a comment, "Oh, bless her little heart." (My thought was like really lady you degrade your employees like this?!) Then, after the owner was finished helping that customer, she then proceeded to look at the clothes I had and only took a few items out of the pile and told me the rest had snags... which was a lie, but I went ahead and sold the rest on my own which worked out for me in the end. I collected my money later for the items that sold, however the owners attitude towards me and her employee was a red flag and was enough for me to never go...
