Jade East — Restaurant in Tewksbury

Horrible atmosphere tonight. If I had a dime for every time I heard the “F” word from two customers I’d be rich. Granted, I sat at the bar, but I’ve sat there many times alone over the past 20 years. Atmosphere was horrid. I had to listen to conversations between two ignorant men using the “F” word between every other word as well as hearing about them talk about getting a BJ on the way home with the bartender adding his two cents! If that wasn’t enough, as I was paying for my bill in cash I heard the two men heckling, “I bet she leaves a 5% tip or less”(I left more than 20%, but I wonder what they left). One of the bartenders stood around the corner out of my view, but I heard him laugh at their comments. Upon leaving I called the two bartenders to me and told them I’ve never had a worse experience dining there and that I’ve been a customer for many years. I also said that they need to speak to unruly customers. They didn’t seem to take my comments seriously so I added that they needed to grow a spine and tell their customers when they’re out of line! I am extremely offended and it will be a long time before I come back! I went to the Jade East for a nice dinner and to relax. Seriously? Talking about BJs on the way home in front of me like I wasn’t there? Male or female no one needs to hear that disgusting language in a public restaurant and lounge! I am pretty much outraged that neither one of the bartenders said that these two customers were out of line and that one of these bartenders actually was part of their conversation! So...

I cannot complain about the food but the service and how shady they are will have me never ever going there again. It was new years eve. We placed an order over the phone, asked 3 times how much and they never answered. All the same items we have ordered in the past, what would cost 150 was 280. My roommate picked up the order and when she told me how much I hit the roof. They said we charge more since we have to have more people working. Uhm don't care. You make a fortune on new years and when we asked the price u should have answered and not ignored. When I contacted the owner the next day he was so ignorant. We were busy. Again don't care. He tries to tell me everyone knows we charge more on new years. My point was when I asked how much you should have answered. He then said you chose to order the food and knew it was more. Again no I didn't because you did not tell us this. You also did not tell me price after we asked twice. Had I known the price when I ordered I wouldn't have ordered the food. You took the choice from me the minute you chose not to tell me the cost of the food. And the guy kept saying well you chose to order. I ordered and then asked how much is it. After you had my card you then handed us the food and then told us the price. So again SHADY!!! You should be ashamed of yourself. We used to order once a week. It was 100+ a week. My friends also frequented the place, also a few of my groups would gather there. Never again. So for an extra 100+ you lost all future business...

I honestly would not give one star. (-10) stars The food was absolutely horrendous. Food came out cold the breaded chicken fingers was still raw with batter oozing out. The beef teriyaki the thinnest meat but yet still not cooked, lobster sauce smelt like a foot . Shrimp smelt beyond fishy like old fish. I order the “ Diamond head “ it was a puddle of garbage lobster was not fresh, the pork was dry and not tasty at all… for 30 dollars I wouldn’t give away to a homeless person. Order a side of beef and broccoli it was the most heinous thing I ever smelt and tasted ..The meet smelt and tasted like it’s a month old. all the food was just bland and gross I am on the toilet right now writing this review. We wanted to celebrate my girls birthday I didn’t even want to let them know that . I have seen enough!! The server was lacking some serious people skills as well I’m sorry to say we did pay our bill but I am WARNING anyone with a pallet and who is not geriatric or just drunk to steer clear.
