Harbor Freight — Local services in Texarkana

Inside the old Oaklawn Shopping Center, Harbor Freight Tools is a store I hit with coupons available online to save even more money on a variety of tools, hardware and more.

Checkout here can be rather tedious when customers are lined up at registers, and even when they aren't lined up, the checkout process always seems to take longer than it ought to.

Sometimes things shown in catalogs sent by mail and things shown online at the store's website can be hard to find in the store, but just ask associates if you should need help finding something. While they don't often walk customers to the items for which they're searching, they will usually direct them to numbered aisles where these products can be found.

Sometimes items are not stocked on the shelves which may be held in the stock room. Having your item number handy is helpful in these instances, however. Just go to an associate or make your way to the back of the store's right side where an open door to the stock room will usually prove helpful. Stick your neck through the door and holler for anyone who can locate back...

Harbor freight has it's high and low points. The highs:

Selection, Harbor freight has a large selection of tools, safety equipment, basically anything you need for residential and commercial work. From Auto Jack's of all sizes to air tanks, to tool boxes and desks. Prices, the prices on the selection of items is surprising affordable.they also have great coupons.

The Lows: Here is why the 3 star rating. The staff seemed pretty clueless. When I asked the lady at the check out counter where certain things were in their sales paper, they would just point in a general direction. I would look for it just for it not to be there. I'd ask again and get a "oh we rearranged the store, I don't know where it is." So I basically had to scavenger hunt for anything I needed. The sales paper had ads for "get this item free with your purchase!" Good luck actually finding those items.

Great prices, fun store to shop at. Good return policies and you cannot beat the prices. They usually have what we're looking for and lots of fun things we were not looking for. Honestly Harbor Freight is one of my favorite stores to shop at for around the house needs. They have creative merchandise for me and the tools and things my husband needs. Most anything you can think of they not only have, the price is always great. They have to tumbler's, magnets all sizes, kid project toys, all kinds of led flashlights, led light strips, boxes of assorted size and color clips for your belt loop, purse, or what ever you might want to clip, they have dental style tools for arts and crafts, the grabber thing so you don't have to bend over to pick something up, all sizes of levels and much, much more.
