The Home Depot — Local services in Toccoa

I needed a specific model of window AC for an ancient window with a small height opening. The nearest store to me was listed as having 1 (still is) but they did not. I've had similar issues over the past few years with Home Depot's online store inventory listings being inaccurate, so this was disappointing, but not a surprise. However, I really needed the unit to complete the room remodel for the weekend, and no models carried by competitors fit my size requirement. I saw the Toccoa store was listed as having 2 in stock, but I was sceptical due to my past experiences. I called to see if someone could verify the unit was in stock, and after a couple of initial hiccups with call forwarding and redirects back to the friendly customer service, I was connected with a very professional and patient employ on the floor who found the AC unit I needed and verified the model #. At that point, customer service took my order over the phone (I was earlier unable to order it for pickup on the website, enhancing my scepticism of it being in stock and necessitating the call in the first place). The unit is now in place, working great. Despite the relatively long drive to this store, I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and courteousness of the employees I had the pleasure of dealing with, and although I don't find myself in Toccoa often, I'll try to make sure I give this store at least a little...

Jb hunt was contracted out by my local home depot in toccoa, Ga they decided to contract out to a Florida company by the name of Harry's trucking based out of Davenport, Fl!! We assumed the delivery went great!! Upon moving the dryer there were 2 rips ALREADY in my floor!! They left in the delivery note to be careful of floor, so we had 2 men lift the dryer(not push or move around) after seeing the rips I made a claim with home depot who then turned it over to jb hunt!! I received a phone call and text from a woman asking for pics of damage claiming they were with jb hunt!! After I sent the pics and they realized what home was making a claim!! Then a Male calls me(Harry's trucking) back on that same number. At first he asked questions then he even offered money!! I told him he was going to have to talk to my husband!! He quickly changed his attitude started yelling at me and calling me a liar!! He told me right then and there that he would deny the claim!! So now I have been harrassed and retaliated against all because I made a claim!! DO NOT trust these people they are backing Harry's trucking actions as well and sent these kind of people to my home!! #jbhunt #homedepot #harrystrucking

The employees are helpful at this location. But my true reason for leaving this review is in hopes that this store will install a cell phone network booster. I have tried two different cell phone carriers in the store to receive reception and it’s virtually useless for cell phone service in the store and almost the same in the parking lot outside. I know this sounds petty and like first world problems but when you go to a hardware store and sometimes have to communicate with your jobsite crew or boss on what items to buy or to add an item to a list, you are out of luck. To be honest, I purposely don’t frequent this store unless I have to, because of the lack of phone service. Contractors and homeowners alike need to be able to contact the outside world from the store in order to determine items to buy. Just yesterday, I was in there and could not find an item so I went to my Home Depot app to search where it would be in that store, but of course my Home Depot app would not work on my phone and I did not want to bother trying to hook up to their Wi-Fi to make the app work.
