My sister and I found some nice jewelry in the final sale section and wanted to check out. We went by a few registers that were unmanned, and found someone working in the shoe department. After waiting for her to finish talking to her friends and giving them hugs, my sister asked if we could check out at this register. She said yes and got back behind the counter, but immediately told us to wait a second and disappeared into the back room. After two minutes, she came back and said âoh, nobody came to do itâ. She asked if we tried elsewhere, but wouldnât suggest which register to go to.
After stalling for another minute, she saw another employee and asked if she wanted to do it, the employee said no. âI guess Iâll do itâ. Then she went to the back room again to help a different customer. When she came back, she started putting proof of purchase stickers on, and halfway through said âYou know thereâs an extra sale on theseâ to which we replied yes. âThat wonât ring up over hereâ.
After wasting that much time by telling us we could check out at her register, we decided to leave. It should not be that difficult to find an open register, and it should definitely not be that hard to find an employee that doesnât look like sheâs hating every second of what sheâs doing and refuses...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend had a important get together that we had to attend so we were shopping for dresses. We went to try on a few dresses in the up stairs area of Dillards. This lady of age opened the door to the fitting room as soon as we both entered and said she canât have us both in there. Mind you we are both over 21 years of age and she is from Chicago so this was her first experience in this store. She ended up feeling terrible bc she wanted me to look at the dresses to make sure we would match and didnât wanna walk out in the hallway bc she felt uncomfortable and needed help zipping the backs. We put all five dresses back and she was about in tears and said she never wants to come back to this store. Now I can say the products this place sells are very nice. But the employees have some serious attitude adjustments and changes that need to be made. This review most likely wonât do much considering this is the largest mall in this general area, and sales would be hard to affect. But we both would like everyone to take this into account before walking into this store. There are plenty other stores in the Franklin park mall that sells the same products and will more than likely be more courteous towards you and show more...
Read moreI am only giving one star because Rodney in the mens department was so helpful. Otherwise, no stars. We visited this location to purchase a hat for my husband for a holiday party. He found one he liked, but the stitching in the back of the hat was sticking out and broken. Rodney was very helpful in looking to see if they had one that wasn't damaged in the shipment, the back of the store, other areas of the store. And to our disappointment, none. OK, so he said let me talk to my manager Sue and see if we can discount it. We agreed since he did need it for an upcoming holiday party and did like it. We assumed the cost to fix stitching would be off-set by the discount and work out in the end. BUT NO.. SUE the manager wouldn't anything off!! Not even 10% which would've been 5.00. SO Dillards you have just lost a customer over the principle of the fact, but basically for 5.00!!!!! We would've been satisfied to know they cared and were willing to work with us. I would highly recommend getting Sue some customer service training and good business practices. We have made MANY purchases there in the past and wont be...
