This by far is the best Ace Hardware we have ever been in. We are in town from North Carolina visiting our son in Sparta until December and we were looking for a turkey fryer without a timer that shuts off the fryer every 15 minutes. We didn’t get the two employees names that assisted us that deserve recognition for excellent customer service. The one employee mentioned he is still cutting wood at 77 years old and the other employee is a nice lady that also lives in Sparta on a street that begins with a G. These two employee went above and beyond to help us during our purchase. During our conversation, the male employee walked with us up to the front register and a Manager came to approve a Price Match on a Bayou Classic 41,000 BTU Welded Steel Frame Outdoor Cooker. Thank you also, to the Manager for approving the Price Match. It was also nice to see how many hard working and friendly employees are at...
Read moreCalled asked if an item was in stock. They took 5 min to look for it came back and said yes it's in stock, $24.99. I said no that's not it it should be an item for 98 something. They looked again and said yes we have 1 left. Went to store to get it 45min later and it was not available (probably never was). Then went to small engine repair desk to ask about a different part needed for my push mower. There I was told to go to the aisle with mower parts and look. I said I did and couldn't find it but maybe they could look it up on computer for me. He said I would have to have serial number and model number in order for him to look it up. I said your in luck because I have numbers. Then he tells me that the small engines repair guy was not there today and I'd have to come back tomorrow so he could look up parts. I was just like WOW! I told him to have a nice...
Read moreOn Thursday Aug. 6th I had the best experience with this store and several of their staff. All packed and loaded up for Sturgis from the Madison area. When turning onto the 94/90E interchange I looked in my rearview mirror and realized one of the straps holding my motorcycle on the trailer appeared loose. I took the first exit (Tomah) and by the time I found a place to pull over the bike had fallen over in the trailer. I went into the store to purchase new straps and asked the cashier if there was someone who could help me with the bike. Two employees came out and eventually a third joined and took care of it for me. Picked the bike up in the trailer and strapped it down solid for me. I was so grateful for their assistance as I was traveling alone and too far from home to call anyone for help. Thanks guys! You really helped me out and...
