So I was out working with my Brother-in-law and needed to stop by a computer store for one final piece to wrap up my "new" old stock computer build. We have a couple local stores and wanted to put some money in the local economy rather than use eBay or Amazon. So I walk into the store and ask if they have PCIe WiFi adapters. The gentleman behind the counter grabbed one out of a box on the floor and threw down a Box. It was a TP-Link TL-WN881ND N300 PCI-E Wireless. Not the most stellar card money can buy or the fastest. But hey, I just want to Get my Tower on the WiFi here at the house. So I asked the guy for the price (Mind you this card can be had for $16-$20 depending on where you shop. Also its pretty common practice for computer shops to throw a mark-up on hardware and services between 15 and 30%.) So, with that knowledge, one could expect a price of about $21 to $26 bucks with the generous 30% mark-up from the original price Not including the 5% sales tax. Not even close. They wanted something like $45 or so W/tax included out the door for this card. $45 for a $16 dollar card. I was beside myself. I thought about slapping my CompTia A+ Cert card on the counter and telling them to get real with me but I thought better of it. So I left with no purchase and stewed on it for the Night... Needless to say, I have a card in the mail for $38 dollars that's future proof for some years to come with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 I really wanted to spend money in your store but you are not competitive not even by a long shot and I feel your business practices are disingenuous. I wonder just were you get off trying to sell anyone a $16...

Read moreI call Sean from time to time after going to him for computer repair. Now living outside of W.I. I still call him up from time to time to ask or discuss certain questions about computers. He is always busy (because I asked him) but the cool thing about Sean is that he still takes the time out of his busy schedule to answer my questions. And if he doesn't have an answer or isn't sure on something right on the spot he'll take the time to look it up and help explain or answer the question. Down to earth guy, does great work, very educated, very friendly, A+ rated! This is my first stop/call for anything computer related. Thank you Sean for...
