Although there are many good stores here, the reason I was there was to see the classic cars! Every Thursday (in the summer season at least), owners of classic mint condition muscle cars from 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. park and show off their prized machines. There are also cars and other vehicles that have been highly customized and that you generally will not see on your average day on the road. The polished cars are all parked along the outer lane of the parking lot, with their owners on lawn chairs chatting with other car enthusiasts and spectators.
The cars here are beautiful and lovingly restored. It's a real treat to see the dozens and dozens of gorgeous machines. The owners are friendly and generally don't mind you taking photos of their rides or asking them questions, etc. In nice weather it really draws a crowd. I recommend going...
Read moreSmall intimate little restaurant.. not our style. Tables were to close together... I can give the waiters credit, always checking to see if we needed anything... I had the Zuppa my wife, chicken Parm. Zuppa was ok, I thought there could have been more shellfish, there were only 3 maybe 4 shrimp, 4 or 5 clams and the same with muscles.... There were tons of squid, which I don't eat, over spaghetti. The portion of chicken Parm was huge, enough for another meal at home... All in all, it was ok, no alcohol and it was $103. Oh, we did have apps, stuffed clams and Muscles in a white sauce... Got real crowded as we were leaving with large parties... Which filled the restaurant. It again, was ok, but not our style of being that close to people to listen to their conversations.. obviously their very good...
Read moreIt is a large shopping center located on a main road in Toms River. The Management Company has done a lot to fill vacant stores. On one end there had been an empty bank and Supermarket. They have filled it, by getting RWJ Barnabas Health to convert the former Bank in offices for both Primary Care Doctors and a Specialist. They share the building with a Physical Theapy center. A large part of the former Supermarket has been taken over by a large Dollar Tree Store. The Management Company also got someone to take over the Burger King Restaurant that closed down.
