Chicken Town — Restaurant in Toms River

I ordered chicken from here for the first time on 8/26 because the chicken town in Brick was closed.

I ordered (1) 20 piece chicken (1) jumbo coleslaw and. (1) regular cauliflower .

I should have checked my receipt but I sent my daughter in to pick up and never looked at it . After getting my credit card statement on 9/8 I saw I was charged 94.82 . I called and spoke to the girl and she said it should have been 64.82. After speaking with her manger she said if I didn’t have my yellow tag that they staple to the the bag from 2 weeks ago they could not help me .

I then asked to speak to the manager and he reiterated what the girl had already told me. He said because he also does not keep those yellow receipts he could not verify my order and the best he would do was split the difference with me and give me 15.00.

Subsequently , I was not satisfied with that offer as it is was obvious to me and anyone with any common sense that he hit a 9 instead of a 6 when ringing in my order. It is exactly a 30 dollar difference . To note ….The manager is the person who rang in our order that day. Why would I wait 2 weeks to call him.! I feel like the right thing to do was to give me a good faith full refund of the 30 dollars. I was obviously not trying to scam him . I provided him with my exact order and it equaled to exactly 30 dollars less than what I was charged .

I will never patrionize this establishment again. Be sure to check your receipts when leaving here! Very bad business on their part! Now you lost a potentially very good customer because I actually thought the food...

I have eaten Chicken town before so I know their menu pretty well. I was on their website today and was deciding what to order. I decided to call and order the buffalo wing dinner priced at $12.50 for pick up. I arrived to pick up the food and the guy at the counter charged me $18.50 plus tax!! I said this must be wrong and the man began to talk about the cost of chicken blah blah blah. 50% price increase? Are you mad? I know prices are going up all over but come on. I paid it because I hadn’t eaten all day. I will NEVER order there again and I will share my story with my local coworkers. I ordered dinner from the menu on line. All fine and good. When the order came they took 74 out of my account which in my mind by going over the prices on line is about 10 more! I called them they said the prices are wrong! Then you should fix them i am going by that price so i can afford it. Then 2 delivery which ok i see. Then a little over 2 for using my debit card!!! That’s crazy!! And the chicken was horrible for that price. The legs wheee like a farrow and the chicken coating was dark like it was fried twice.
