I’ve been to this location for my baker goody good stuff…now living closer here this is my local Hobby Lobby …I had not though of writing a review because I hadn’t really interacted with any of the staff..well just that basic hello and thank you, but this past Saturday I happened to notice their sale of a few wall decor I liked very much…my interaction with Raymond just a few questions about the sale…yet when I couldn’t reach something up so high of my reach..he was quickly there to assist me…I laughed and not bring a shopping cart since I had only came in for packaging of my baking items …Raymond again was absolutely so courteous to go and get me a shopping cart to easily make me able to take my items…not many people do that now a days, I’ve been to stores where the workers tell you where the shopping carts are…or also tell you that they don’t work in that department and they will call someone over to assist you and you’re waiting and waiting sometimes for a long time which maybe causes you to just forget and not want the items…I want to thank Raymond for his over and beyond customer service to me …keep up the awesome work and assistance in wanting your customers to return to this store! I made my purchase and asked about Raymond and I was told he was the manager 🙌💯… they’re you have it!! Being a former manager myself and realizing that when someone likes the their job…they will go out of their way to keep a satisfied customer and put a smile on their face!! I also want to thank my cashier Beverly who made it really pleasant to chat about what I was going to bake and the chocolate covered candy rocks I was adding to my cake decor…Thank you too for assuring that the items I was purchasing wouldn’t get damaged in the cart and going that extra mile in packing or paper wrapping my frame and separating my cake boxes so they wouldn’t slide out of the side of the shopping cart 😉💯🙌…as I tell everyone I review on…if it’s worth it people need to know…I will return to my local Hobby...
Read moreWe had paid for two items , and when they were too difficult to use , and try to return them , the cashier , told us that we didn’t pay for the other item and only got half of the refund . Took away the other item , although we had been charged for it . Extremely rude customer service and it was about to happen another time with an ( they get their stuff from AliExpress ) a drone that could easily take your data and steal your info by acting as a wifi router . They interrogate you and care more about if the product is damaged or not . Which is reasonable , however , they also care a lot for how it looks .
Btw if you have the receipt , it doesn’t matter because they have to type the product , if they mess up , that’s your problem . Always check the receipt . Return it right away if it’s not the same price .
The only good thing about this store is the manager from el Camino ( cal works ) she will try her best to handle this .
Very responsive and kind , however to the grumpy cashier named Maria , she shouldn’t be a cashier considering her attitude is more focused on giving you a hard time on returning items then just returning them .
Because of this interaction , I no longer want to come here . It is not our fault that a product that was 3.99 came out as 3.49 in a receipt .
Please be aware of the returns here , I never had a problem in any other hobby lobby store ,...
Read moreI hate shopping here because of the obvious homophobia etc BUT they had something I needed for school that no other craft store had. It was labeled "40% off spring decor" and though it had no actual label, it was hanging with the spring decor and DIRECTLY beside the sign. They charged my full price and I didn't notice until after. I asked about it and the frumpy manager came to talk to me SIGHING "ma'am" in my face "table decor is 50% off, not wall decor". First of all, MA'AM, watch your tone. I went back to check if I didn't read the sign correctly, but no, I did. I took it off the shelf and brought it to her. She continued to try to speak over me and explain that I'm wrong. Not worth it. I left without it, but hopefully ruined her day as she attempted to ruin mine. If you're going to be a manager, at least PRETEND to be kind. I worked customer service as a manager for 15 years and I NEVER spoke to someone the way this Shrek woman did. (Despite how badly I may have wanted to). If you hate your job so much, quit....
