This island is an awesome getaway! The views from the decks, yes, plural, are nothing short of spectacular! Nothing beats sitting on the deck in the morning sipping your coffee and watching the sun rise. You can see some of the other islands and the large ships traveling through the shipping lanes. The mornings are a great time to go kayaking. The landscape in the area is amazing and the water is as smooth as glass. There are plenty of sights to see as well such as Boldt and Singer castle. To wind down from the day, you can sit around the bonfire in the evening sipping on your favorite drink.

The cottage itself is spotless, well maintained, and beautifully decorated. You have all the amenities. The owners are friendly and accommodating. I would strongly recommend this place although part of me wants to keep it a secret as it does...

I have stayed at the Island Cottage on a couple occasions. If you want to get back to nature, but still enjoy modern conveniences, this is the place for you! The location cannot be beat! The cottage is just a short boat ride from shore, it's tucked away with just the right amount of privacy yet still providing wide open views. My favorite spot is the front deck, which provides the feel that you are right over the water. Inside is immaculate and spacious, large enough to accommodate a large group, yet has a cozy feel. The enclosed side porch is perfect for some alone time or to curl up with a good book. The pictures speak for themselves. Absolutely beautiful home. You have to come in person to enjoy this lovely home and it is much more spacious and attractive than you see in the pictures. Paul and Sue the house owner are very friendly and alway answer questions quickly, We rented their boat and it added extra fun for us. Paul is very responsible and explains how to navigate the boat in details to our capitan clearly with patience. After we left the house and heading to Niagara falls, Paul called us on personally to let us know what is the best way to drive so that we can continue to enjoy our trip along the way.
