We had the best meal at the Pointe and cannot wait to go back! While the restaurant is pretty unassuming, do not be fooled, it does not disappoint. The service was excellent with Dan going above and beyond by educating us on the area, offering to take a family photo overlooking the water (self portrait by Dan too), and even golf carting us to our car after the meal. The food could not have been better. We had the best onion rings and the juiciest, flavor-filled grilled chicken. We even enjoyed more than a dozen clean, juicy steamed clams. The Pointe is not to be overlooked!

This place is straight out of 1985, but it has beautiful views. The buffet was $11.95 and included scrambled eggs (that were surprisingly good for a buffet), bacon, sausage, muffins, pastries, cereal, toast, pancakes, and a bowl of real fruit (not the canned stuff in syrup). It did not have an omelette station. The service was top notch.

Loved the food and a Birthday supper with my love. We ate at a table with a view. The Castle is behind us.

If I could give this restaurant a 0 I would. This was the worst experience I have ever had. After spending the weekend in Abay for a bachelorette party, we decided to go to the manor for dinner. We made a reservation for 8 people. We waited for about 10 minutes to even be sat. There were approximately 8 tables in the entire restaurant, but the atmosphere was nice and that’s exactly what we were looking for. The menu sounded great. After waiting about 25 minutes for our server to even come over and introduce her self, I proceeded to ask a question about the flank steak salad. She said “I’m not sure what kind of dressing comes on it, I’ve never served one”. I thought it was a strange response but figured she was new. We proceeded to put in our entire purses as we were all hungry and had been waiting. After an hour and fifteen minutes I asked if our food was almost ready. Rudely our server replied “well we’re busy so I don’t know”. There were 8 tables. 8. Ten minutes later she asked me what dressing I wanted on my salad, although I previously had asked what type came on the salad. 20 minutes later our food was delivered. Thank god for the bus girl who so politely brought us 4 baskets of bread! One bite into my flank steak and I immediately spit it out. Not only was it freezer burnt, but it wasn’t cooked, despite the color. It was honestly the most disgusting thing I could have imagined. I flagged down the server and my friend and I sent back our food. Our server was clearly upset as she rolled her eyes, huffed, and did not offer to have it remade or offer another option. I figured the manager would come over and offer, however, I waited and waited, and nothing. After everyone in my party had finished their mediocre, at best, meals, we again flagged down the server. She could not separate checks and there was an issue for us putting down separate cards, so we all paid cash. This was brought to us by the attention of the manager, who never introduced herself OR Mentioned anything about the horrific food or wait. After paying, I asked the bus girl who the manager wS and went up to Nancy to express my anger and disappointment with the entire experience here. She stood there with a nasty look on her face, took her glasses off as I finished and started to say “I appreciate you telling me but...” I cut Her off and walked away. As someone who has worked in hospitality for over 12 years and who currently manages 2 restaurants, I would be appalled if any of my staff acted the way the server and manager did and let a cook send out disgusting food. I would recommend avoiding this place as eating off the floor in the middle of uncle sams boats would have been a much better experience...

I don't know what to say... I seriously DO NOT recommend this place. Waited 15 mins at the door even to talk with someone, then had to wait an hour to be seated. Finally got seated, got a menu, then another menu that was for the outdoor grill, no drink menu... The special of the night was crab legs that were freezer burnt from the freezer straight to the grill. When served it was room temp on the outside cold on the inside. The "butter" was some oily disgusting substance in a bottle. I spent about an hour throwing up the vomit comet that was supposed to be seafood later that night. Drinks where okay, the view was nice, but now that I know what kind of food they are serving, I'll gladly walk the distance to "downtown" over the convenience that this place was. I should mention the waitress was really nice and the band they had had some nice music... But still crab legs coming back out quickly kills my idea of wanting to...

This was such a great hidden gem for us! We're so happy we stumbled upon it. We can't thank Chef Brad enough for his wonderful hospitality and his genuine way of making you feel welcome. Our server, Shawn, was also incredible! Both of them really made our visit special. We can't say enough about the amazing food! We had the surf and turf, fresh walleye, and king crab legs. We didn't leave there hungry! We definitely recommend this place for your next visit to Abay... you won't be disappointed! We look forward to our next trip back. Thanks again, Brad!! Such a...
