ECC North Campus is an excellent place for locals to get access to a quality education from a community college. One of the nicest things is the class size and average cost of going there for an associate degree or some other kind of certifications. The smaller class sizes means it's far more likely you'll be able to get more personal attention from the professor when you need it, having fewer classmates sometimes makes for much fewer distractions, and the professors really do care very much about the students they're educating. The average cost for an associate degree in one of the various programs is often considerably less than one of the larger SUNY system colleges like Buff State or UB. I'm very pleased with my experience going to ECC as what they called a "hybrid student." That basically means I decided which classes I'd be taking online and which ones I wanted to do in-person because I felt being in an actual classroom with a professor right there to assist me as I go was just a better fit for me. You of course do have the option to go fully in-person or fully online should you find that's the best way for you to proceed. If you have any questions about a specific program, I'd urge you to get in contact with one of the department heads or advisors in that field. They are incredibly helpful people who are very happy to help you make the very best decisions for your educational journey. They even have special advisors on staff to help you decide if transferring to a four-year university, and will guide you through every single step of the way. Like I said earlier, I couldn't possibly be happier with my experience going to ECC, and if I ever needed to go through another associate degree program for whatever reason, I'll begin my...
Read morei did online classes at this school and i thoroughly enjoyed them and all my professors, however, every. single. time. i had to call the bursars office or the registrars office or any office for help it was a terrible experience. everyone i spoke to was so rude and condescending to me and acted like i had no idea what i was talking about. i was dropped from a class on accident by a professor and it took me HOURS and multiple roundabout phone calls to get it fixed. everyone i spoke to asked me if i was âactually doing any work in the classâ which i was, but they were just very dismissive of everything and just blamed me. come to find out the professor dropped the wrong list of people and it was never my fault. i have continued to have all of these same issues every time i call. like i said, great classes, but the staff are...
Read moreTeachers are hit or miss. They either care enough or not at all and some of them have an attitude. You have to do most of the learning. Campus is plain but functional and the STEM building is beautiful. There's lots of just open space that just sits there, when there could be a lot done about it and buildings are far apart for no reason. Most buildings have some sort of issue but you get what you pay for (most of the time). I heard the food is good. Bus stop for NFTA and the shuttle is right inside the campus which is very convenient, even though the bus has terrible service. Overall, it's an okay college and if you're willing to put the effort in, you'll graduate but you won't have many valuable...
