Apparently there is a "policy" that if you do not return to pick up the money for your sold items (2 Louis Vuitton handbags) within one year of this shop selling your merchandise, you forfeit the money to the shop. Notification of the sold items is not made when sold, which I fully understand. However to pocket the money made off the sale of the merchandise is absolutely horrible. When I mentioned that this happened to another very reputable thrift store owner I was told. this is the type of vendor "run from this kind of establishment"..lesson learned at a high cost.
