Carousel "A Shop w/ Cottage Charm" — Local services in Town of Amherst

Apparently there is a "policy" that if you do not return to pick up the money for your sold items (2 Louis Vuitton handbags) within one year of this shop selling your merchandise, you forfeit the money to the shop. Notification of the sold items is not made when sold, which I fully understand. However to pocket the money made off the sale of the merchandise is absolutely horrible. When I mentioned that this happened to another very reputable thrift store owner I was told. this is the type of vendor "run from this kind of establishment"..lesson learned at a high cost.

3/26/22 4;50 p.m.- Re your response: It was several years ago and I am not mistaken. It was your store and when i stopped in to check on the sale of the Louis Vuitton bags you said I had to follow up for the money within one year and did not keep a record of the amount received...

This is my “go to” place when I need to decompress. There is something about walking in to a place that feels warm and welcoming. From the soft scents of a fresh burning candle, the quiet music playing, the meticulously placed decor, to the confidence of knowing what I purchase is of quality; this shop is my first stop when looking for something to dress up my wardrobe or to find something unique for my home. I appreciate the owner’s experience and insight as well as her desire to support the community by offering fundraisers, selling locally made items, and partnering with locally owned small businesses. I can’t imagine our community without “Carousel” in it. It truly lives up to its name—so...

I just love taking my time browsing through the artwork of local artists including jewelry and cards, finding unique gifts, seeing displays that give me ideas of how to add silk flowers and wreaths and more to things are already own as well as finding jewelry blouses and jackets in the exquisite consignment.... Carousel and Laura you never disappoint! 90 minutes went by in what seemed like 15... Thanks for not kicking me out at closing lol see...
