This review is no reflection on the Bedford Village Flower Shoppe's floral work but instead the way Anthony and Lauren made my daughter and I feel we were treated when we showed up for an appointment to discuss ordering flowers. My daughter's bridal shower is being held this spring at the Inn at Pound Ridge and since I am not from the area, I searched for a floral shop within a reasonable distance to the venue. I was not looking for flower arrangements for the event, but instead was looking for loose flowers to be delivered for the guests to make their own arrangements at a "flower bar" as a take home favor.
As soon as we entered we met with Anthony and Lauren and began discussing what our vision was. Anthony began giving quotes that we felt were much higher than we wanted to spend. We tried explaining that we were trying to keep our expenses down since again this was being used as a shower favor. From this point on we were made to feel that we were not the clientele he was used to and that they really didn't want to work with us. Anthony left as he had a meeting and we were left speaking with Lauren who I have to say was a bit warmer and took some notes saying she would get back to me with ideas, which unfortunately she never did.
Nobody should be made to feel that way and I am horrified that we were treated so poorly. On a great note...we went to a different florist not to far from Bedford, who was amazing! He showed us the flowers he could provide, discussed how they could be arranged and understood our vision and budget.
Bedford Village Flower Shoppe may have beautiful flowers but they need to learn how to treat people even if they are not the clientele they are...
Read moreAfter writing the following review (see below), I received a phone call (and email) from the flower shop. They offered to send out a new (bigger) arrangement or provide me with a credit. I opted for a new arrangement. The replacement arrangement was exactly what I was hoping for. I've included a new photo. I'm very happy that they made things right. THANK YOU!
I told the person who took my order that I wanted a low, glass vase with pink and purple flowers for a very special birthday (my client's 70th bday). The gal asked me if I wanted a small, medium, or large vase? I asked what the difference was. She told me $100 for small and $175 for medium--she never shared the actual size of the vase. I selected the small because I wanted to spend about $150 (with tax and delivery).
My client shared a picture with me when she texted a thank you! She told me the arrangement was "so cute".
This was not what I was expecting for a $140.86. I called the florist and asked what the measurements of the vase were because it looked like a bud vase. The gal told me, "it was probably about 5 inches." She did not really address my concerns. I'm not only disappointed, but also embarrassed that I sent my client a bud vase for her 70th birthday.
You can see from the picture that the vase is about the size of note that...
Read moreWe highly recommend Bedford Village Flower Shoppe because they. made magic happen for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding at the Wainwright House on August 16, 2025. The venue provided a list of vendors that they work with. We knew a family that used Bedford Village Flower Shoppe for a wedding last year and they were very happy, so we met with Anthony and Lauren and could tell it was a great fit right away. They understood exactly the feeling that our daughter and son-in-law wanted and were able to execute the plan perfectly. They went above and beyond and created the. most gorgeous flowers for the ceremony, reception and in places around the venue. They even constructed a trellis to hide an air conditioner, as requested, in addition to constructing a stunning chuppah. Our guests raved about the flowers and they set the festive tone we were hoping for. We even were able to use the flowers again the next day for a brunch at our home and they looked gorgeous. Then, on Monday, the bride made bouquets for the residents of the Cabrini Nursing Home and delivered them to brighten up the residents' days - they were still fresh! Thank you, Lauren and Anthony and all of the other people at Bedford Village...
