Mast Market — Local services in Town of Bedford

I love Mast Market! It's really become a "third place" for me because I work next door and I stop in almost every weekday afternoon to treat myself to a delicious latte with vanilla or maple syrup. I'm so grateful for the respite from my busy work days as I enjoy chatting with their lovely staff members (shout out to Sam, Megan and Alma especially - who always brighten my days), listening to their well curated music playlists, and admiring the exquisite grocery items on the shelves, which I cannot justify buying given my current wages.

I do however, have two quibbles with this place...

1. I spent weeks accumulating "seeds," (or points) for my purchases and was super excited about eventually earning a free beverage. However, much to my surprise and dismay I eventually learned that the frequent drinker reward was NOT a free beverage at all but a meager 10% off my next purchase! I was was pretty astonished, and disappointed, and felt as though my loyalty meant next to nothing in the scheme of things.

2. It recently came to my attention that staff are not permitted to accept gratuities, which I found to be cruel and unusual especially in this economy with a fascist dictator in the White House only making life more difficult for working class Americans!

Mast Market in Bedford is a total standout… beautiful space, thoughtful design, and a calm, welcoming vibe. The coffee is excellent, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the market shelves are stocked with high-quality local goods and their signature Mast chocolate. It’s the kind of place that feels intentional in every detail… from the friendly service to the clean, organic feel of everything they serve. Five stars...

Had high hopes. Like their curation of produce/shelf products Food feels like microwave cheap restaurant food. bacon egg and cheese was so disappointing. The cheese and bacon were DEFF microwaved. Chickpea tahini sandwich to go was on old sourdough bread! So SAD!
