The Horse Connection In Bedford Village — Local services in Town of Bedford

I work at a large barn in Westchester County, NY. I order the tack and equipment for 40+ customers, so I spend a lot of time working with the staff at the Horse Connection. Natasha and her staff have gone above and beyond time after time to help me with all my needs. They have always been super friendly and helpful, even when I have to call in multiple times and change orders. A few months ago I longingly mentioned an old-fashioned saddle pad by a defunct company to Natasha. Later on she came across a company that was making a new pad that was very similar to the one I wanted. She immediately picked up the phone to call me, and now my customer with the tricky horse and saddle doesn't have to get off mid-lesson to fix his pad! It's the thoughtful gestures like that that make me really appreciate them. Her staff is always so helpful, especially Gayle, who really goes out of her way to get me the exact item I want, even if I only give her a vague description. My wife and I live about half an hour away from Bedford so we decided to drive over, have lunch and check it out. After lunch we wanted to explore a bit so we just walked down Main Street. We walked in to Horse Connection, mostly for me since they had a sign posted out front saying they carried Barbour, which happens to be a favorite brand of mine. As we get towards the back of th store the woman behind the counter came back to ask "Can I help you?" Not is there anything in particular you're looking for? Not is there anything I can help you find? Just "Can I help you?" This by it self wouldn't have bothered me. My wife and I said "No thank you we're just looking for now." She then proceeded to tell us what was on every floor starting with the bottom floor. "There's a lot of horse stuff, which you would probably find boring, but on the top floor there's sale items." That's when we got a bit offended. We found the tone of the shop to be assuming and patronizing. It just kind of left a bad taste in our mouths, but I'm sure it's great for...

THIS IS WHERE TO SHOP! GREAT TACK SHOP!!! Incredibly Friendly Staff & I was pleasantly greeted upon arrival. The Service is Amazing & The folks that work there are Vastly Knowledgeable on every need for the Equestrian. There are 3 Floors of products and all is located in a very charming shop located right in Bedford Village. The Horse Connection is Definitely Affordable & everything you need for the horse & rider showing or pleasure. This is also great shop for New Show Mom's, as the staff knows how to take the lead and make New Show Mom's very comfortable. Upstairs is a great Barbour selection, Horse Items are on the first floor, Everything for the rider is on the main floor with very cute gifts & jewelry throughout the shop.
