Bedford 234 — Restaurant in Town of Bedford

Absolutely terrible food. This place has jumped the shark with the new owners having no idea how to run a restaurant. The only reason anyone goes there is their location. They need to find someone who knows how to prepare food in an active kitchen ASAP. We ordered Garganelli Bolognese that came out dry and cold. It was obviously set underneath the heat lamp for easily 20 minutes before it was served. Gross. Our medium rare hamburger arrived medium well and the crispy wings that we made it a point to emphasize arrived undercooked in an inedible. Fire your chef Bedford 234. This place will not be in business much longer if they keep serving up below average food at these prices. The bright side as we had a waitress who was absolutely amazing and incredibly apologetic but nonetheless, the food quality was completely unacceptable. They have one of the best locations in Westchester county. They better do something about their kitchen or they will not last in Bedford. Do yourself a favor and go to Truck, Lucia or simply stay home and put some frozen dinners in...

Update: new owners bring new menu that misses the mark. Many of the favorites are gone in favor of a meat-centric assortment that caters to a specific audience leaving others to settle or look elsewhere. Prices have also gone up and drink menu has changed. While the olde menu had been stagnant for awhile it met a better variety of tastes. ... ... ... Always a great experience at 234. The staff is fantastic, special call out to Melissa who treats us like old friends every visit. The food is delicious and the chef is always ready to accommodate. Desserts are worth the price of admission. Good selection of wine and beer. Some local selections can be found. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Truly a gem in the town of Bedford. We've been here a couple of times now and we really wish we'd known about it sooner. Fun, comfortable atmosphere. It seems like just about everybody there knows somebody else there but not in a way that made us feel bad for knowing nobody!

The food is really great, service is good (if sometimes a bit quirky) and the food options are fairly creative. Definitely a nice place for dinner, or drinks. Good in dressy clothes or jeans.
