I wish I could give -10 stars this is not the first time , I have been screwed by kohl’s!!! I bought 2 laundry barrels from kohl’s at $75 each. Kohl’s sent me an email to review my order. I sent pictures of laundry barrels damaged the first day recvd they ripped!!! Submit review and kohl’s writes back saying they can’t post review. Due to the damaging info to their product!!! Scammers!!! Now I order a purse!! I try a 2nd time with store merchandise. Over a month later I still have not recvd. I Track my package and kohl’s kept changing the delivery date. I ordered purse from kiosk in store!!! I call yesterday to ask where my purse is, kohl’s sold it to someone else. I have the list of over 10 stores it state’s still available at , but yet the item is no longer available. I Cll today to follow up on refund. Cj Operatr #on6g, never processed refund yesterday and now operator Julie # 7629 had to do refund Ck claimed to hv done yesterday. Julie does today supposedly. Now I wait 7days more!!! She gave me $5 kohl’s cash fir my troubles!!! Yet I only have 14days to use , with an hr demanding I be compensated. Then I’m told 14days to use $5 kohl’s cash on a $40 purse w/ 7days wait to get my orginal purse over a month ago back!! Kohl’s is a rip off , bs, overpriced, below standard merchandise....

The man at the register, after explaining that I could save more money if I spent $5, asked if I wanted to buy something else. He offered me chocolate on the counter, which I declined because of an allergy, so I asked if there were socks or something else for cheap. He hesitated, then told me I could go down whatever aisles to find socks. I said ok and that I’d leave my stuff at the counter (mind you, no one else was online and I had asked permission to do so). As I walked away, he turned to an older woman associate and said , “Why did I open my big mouth?” And the two proceeded to talk about what an inconvenience it was, so I stopped in my tracks and returned to the register, saying, “I don’t want to be an inconvenience to you.” He proceeded to ring me up, then, after he wished me a goodnight, they continued to talk about it while I was still within earshot. It was completely unprofessional!!! Why offer me a discount and then complain about my wanting to be able to buy something I need versus buying something I’m allergic too???!!! He also forgot to give me my gif...
I haven’t been to Kohl’s in a while, but I stopped by today and noticed some changes—some good, some not so much.
One improvement is that they’ve consolidated the cashiers to one side of the store, which definitely streamlines the layout and feels more organized. However, they’ve also combined the return line with the purchase line, and I’m not a fan of that. It gave me strong Burlington Coat Factory vibes with the winding line and all the small “impulse buy” items displayed along the way.
Even though there were about eight cashier stations, only five were staffed at the time. It’s hard to tell if the wait was actually longer than usual, but it felt slower compared to what I’ve experienced before.
On the bright side, the overall store layout is cleaner and more modern, which is a big plus. I’m curious to see how this new setup performs over time—whether it's actually more efficient or just feels more crowded.
If you're going for clothes, you'll still find good stuff, but keep an eye on how the checkout...
