I have used Kinney's for my prescription needs for at least a decade. I try to be a good customer with the pharmacy (noting that my meds are running low, prescriptions need updating, etc) but I mess up quite a bit and have to speak with someone in pharmacy. It's an interruption in their work flow. I have only had a less than satisfactory experience once. While the store might be the only one for miles, and I could get my meds sent to me from somewhere else in the world, I prefer to use the store. It's because of the people who take care of me. Many times, they are the bright spot in an otherwise dismal day and that is a prescription that has to be filled on the fly. Expect to be standing on line for a few minutes because there are a lot of other people who feel the way I do. I understand not getting medication in or being shorted, but this pharmacy NEVER communicates when scripts are on backorder. It takes time for me to call a doctor and call other pharmacies. Time I don't have because by the time I find out they have no idea when meds will arrive, we're completely out. Frankly, if YOU'RE out of it then YOU should be doing this leg work. You should know which other pharmacies have meds in stock, so AT WORST, all I have to do is call my doctor with the pharmacy name. All the pharmacy does is throw their hands up and say, "oh well, sorry." There's no extra effort or urgency given to people's needs. Show a little initiative once in a while. Doesn't matter though. Read moreI’m not a person that usually rates or gives a review but I felt it was necessary to give Kaylee (I think that is her name)some kudos. I have needed a lot of meds for myself and other family members this last month. This girl has been all over it. She covers everything. There were meds they didn’t have but she made sure they were there later in the evening she then called me to let me know they were there. She made a lot of personal calls that I certainly appreciated. It’s hard to even get a real person on the phone these days so when someone takes time to call you..... well, you give Thanks. I get frustrated at times waiting but everyone there is always very pleasant and helpful. We are living in some tough times. Everyone should try to be a little more patient and appreciative.
