Carmel Cinema — Local services in Town of Carmel

This is the most budget movie theater I have been to in a while. I heard they do$5 movies on Tuesday. So we night or tickets ahead of time. It was only $12 there was a booking fee. So then we get there at 7. Our movie starts at 7:15- there's a line almost out the door. And the line to get snack and to get your tickets are the same. I Already had my ticket on my phone but they wouldn't let us go in. So I missed the first 10 min of the movie because the line was so long. My husband tried to call to complain and they just said we could talk to the manager there who was nowhere to be found and they wouldn't refund the money cause the movie already started We decided to watch the movie despite missing some of it. Screen was small and the seats were so uncomfortable. On top of that we had to sit in the front row cUse we got there so late.

Usually enjoyable theater but tonight was mayhem. They have regular 5 dollar Tuesdays. The place was packed and there was no ticket booth so everyone had to stand on the concession stand line. About 10 young people were getting snacks for people,more than needed. I missed the beginning of the movie. They told me the owner wants it that way. Everyone knows that theaters make the money on popcorn and other snacks but it isn't a reason to ruin the movie going experience when you don't have to. There were at least 3 people with nothing to do. Couldn't they take tickets? Very disorganized and obviously only interested in profits. Probably bought out by some corporation. The theater was crowded and there were two women sitting on the end with their handbags in the seats next to them who said people were sitting there and which was untrue. Ahh, modern America! Ok so MONDAY afternoon I decided to go to your theater, so as always after work I checked your show times and made my way to the theater I was about to walk in when an employee outside stated “We are closed for a BBQ!” Just curious why doesn’t it state that on your movie times? Says you were OPEN WITH MOVIES SCHEDULED to play but decided to close the theater for an employee BBQ? Been going to your theater for OVER 10 yrs.
