My doctor called in my perscriptons to the wrong Walgreens.
But when I told the lady I got an email she insisted her computer said they were still waiting for a call back.
I am traveling on a sailboat, and I choose Walgreens because I thought they had a computer system that was networked together.
When I called back a different pharmacist said there are two ways of looking up the perscriptons in the computer and fixed the problem.
I am confused because I called this particular Walgreens and they sent the request to my doctor. My doctor carries some of the blame but I also think Walgreens should have their computer check to see if it was filled at another Walgreens by accident. As the second employee said the computer does if you check different way.
When I said I got an email saying it was filled a red flag should have gone up in her head. But she was very quick to say computer says go away sir... Glad I called back and talked to someone else...
I might consider switching pharmacy on my travels as I am traveling and can't really afford to have my medicine not filled when I need it. And I have noticed Walgreens are often horribly understaffed and the staff just wants people to go away if there is a problem. I understand it's difficult when legally perscriptons need to be perscribed, but if their computer can email me it's done it should be able to tell the pharmacist it's been filled but somewhere else...
I am sure all the other pharmacy options are understaffed too to be fair... Good career choice if you can handle angry old people demanding their medicine... Lol I walked away from the first person pretty easy cause my doctor does often take a while, I wish I had been more demanding as it was quite a walk...

Once, a week while no one is picking up meds I have asked a pharmacy staff to get a bag of chips and a soda I have never had a problem the staff there since March have been very nice getting these things for the individual that is sitting next to me in the agency van.    Read moreThis pharmacy is horrendous! We gave them a try when our usual pharmacy couldn't get her prescription. What a huge mistake that was. I have seen my wife suffer and pretend to be just fine while she is volunteering at veterans events. The stress of the pharmacist not doing his job was another look at the problems she face. After several phone calls to confirm that the prescription was ready and insurance was approved, I went to pick it up and was told we needed pre-authorization, which wouldn't be ready for several days. Since she needed to start the med the next day, I gave up and paid out of pocket for the bill so my wife could at least have her medicine. This happened the following week as well.
