So, whenever I am setting out to sightsee and get information for a review, I always check in with the owner/employees of a place in order to let them know why I'm taking pictures and to ask if there's anything special that people should know. Peter (the owner/craftsman for 55 years) told me that he really didn't want a review, because he didn't want people to have expectations or to be directed to a certain way of thinking. He told us stories, and shared the history of his candles. We decided to purchase one, but before ringing us up he took our hands and we said a prayer together to bless us and offer a safe passage on our journeys in life. He told us that our presence was so uplifting that he owed us and wanted us to have the candle for free. I’m genuinely spechless. If you are in or around Sugar Loaf, you MUST visit him and this idyllic shop that will take you...
