Colonial Laundromat — Local services in Town of Cicero

We are in town for my mother-in-law’s funeral and our stay has been extended by a week because the next day my husbands sister passed unexpectedly. I had to go to the laundromat. I needed $5 in quarters & only had $2. So I went to the money machine and put in 3- $1 bills, one at a time. The “out of order” light came on. The sweetest young girl, Kailee, (who was the only one working) goes & gets me $3 in quarters. She made the mistake of calling someone who thinks is her superior & got reamed out & called a liar. Told her that machine will not accept $3 in bills and that she needed to get the money back from me, take my name & number & she would reimburse me later. “K(C)athy” called Kailee back still giving her a very hard time and told her to give me my $3 back but with a warning. I am appalled and so upset that Kailee was treated so inhumanly!! In my estimation, I dealt with the more mature person in this incident and she has my utmost support. Thank you Kailee!!!! My wife and I are there at least once a week. And there is a gentleman with longer hair and a younger woman that are constantly cleaning and making sure everything is spotless. There is an older woman that works on weekends. Who does absolutely nothing. We were there today for almost 3 hours and watched her talk to her friends. Eat her lunch. Go shopping at Dollar General and did absolutely nothing. Oh wait. I did see her dump out. A pail of water must have been left from the previous person who was cleaning all day. I have been in the service business for over 40 years and I've seen all kinds of lazy, but today took the cake. I've never seen anybody go out of their way to do absolutely as little...

Nothing in this laundry place works right. Constantly having to bug the person working to revive coins when the coin machine isn’t working. Unless you come in when the one young girl works at nights the place looks dirty. I only go when I know that one young girl works, she is diligent and attentive to the whole place. It’s the cleanest when I come in and get the most friendly help when I need it. Very refreshing to see someone care about the Cleanliness of this...
