It's really saddening to see a place like this exist in a nice town such as Ravena. There are always carts in the middle of the parking lot and gathered around the building entrances. During the winter, the walkways and parking lots don't get salted nearly as often as needed.
I have seen numerous dead ducks lying in the parking area and frozen in the ponds. Some of the remains have still not been removed and have been there for weeks.
This area also has many inhabitants who will very casually and publicly smoke weed outside their apartment door, inside the hallways of the buildings, and in the laundry/mailroom. I've noticed this several times while visiting a friend who lives in Oakbrook Manor.
The apartments, just from outside appearance, are in terrible disarray. There are wires hanging off of the roof and balconies and there is broken glass everywhere. At one point, I was going to consider moving in despite all this to be closer to work; however, the reviews, on top of everything else I’ve seen first-hand, have given me enough of a warning and I know there are much better options out there. I even spoke to a few people I know who currently reside at Oakbrook Manor and the only reason they had for living there was because they had no...
Read moreI had an awful experience. PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING. I wish I read reviews before I rented there. I was only there for 6 months with no damages whatsoever and they refused to refund my security deposit. Since I moved out I unfortunately found out that they do this all the time. They rip you off. A tenant advocate from law offices in Albany told me this happens to most renters there & I have spoken to two previous tenants who also did not get their security deposits back with no reasoning at all. When I first moved in, I wrote a detailed email with things I noticed needing fixing (I.e interior and exterior lighting, a bees nest in the frame of my front door, a broken gutter pouring water in front of my door..etc.). Not a single issue was fixed during my 6 month stay there. The neighbors were noisy, I felt unsafe walking my dog without exterior lighting in the parking lot. They allowed the dumpsters to remain severely overfilled for days, garbage surrounding it all over the ground. I could go on and on about how...
Read moreI got a place in October I paid 1,540 a month for a two-bedroom with 2 bathrooms on the 3rd floor. No sane person would pay that much for an apartment like this. Rent for apartments up to 3 bedroom range from $750 to $1,250. I'm paying basically a mortgage for a house. Now I came across information that my rent was going from $1,540 to $1,620 (this new price is not including pets) when I only started my lease on October 1st so I haven't even been here 15 days yet. What kind of owner expects the middle class to pay that much in rent alone do you not account for car payments and insurance? Electric? Heat in the winter? Phone bills? Groceries? This is unacceptable we only took this apartment at the current price because we needed something quick and this development was the fastest to work with. it's sad that we would move in October to then have to leave early in January. would not recommend this place until they are offering reasonable prices...
