Cooke's Little Shoppe of Flowers — Local services in Town of Cortlandt

My partner bought flowers here for me for Valentine’s Day. We have cats who chew on all our plants so we’re extremely mindful of only bringing cat-safe plants into the house. She ordered a bouquet and requested that they only be only specific flowers, which we know are cat safe flowers. When she brought the bouquet home, there were 2 types of flowers in there as filler that were not in the order. She called the shop to ask what they are. They said they forgot the name of one but they checked and it’s cat safe. It wasn’t. They were Hypericum Berries, which are toxic to cats. “If a cat ingests even a small amount of the berry, they can experience vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy. In more severe cases, hypericum berries can cause seizures and coma”. Thank God we realized this ourselves and removed the bouquet before our cat had a very expensive vet bill or worse.

They were so accommodating to changes and beyond helpful!!! Everything they made for me was exquisite! I placed an order through 1800 flowers and this is the local shop that they used. The flowers that were delivered were not the flowers I ordered and were worth half the price of my order. I contacted 1800 flowers and although I was disappointed with the arrangement, they credited me the difference in the price of the flowers and I agreed as they were a gift for my mother's birthday.
