Listen y'all...tonight I went to this Marshalls and was discriminated against so blatantly. I was shopping for a work bag and literally was browsing to buy. I came with a purpose and walked straight to bags when I arrived. About 5 minutes into browsing here comes one of the workers saying I called for help. At first I was like no I didn't, then it hit me, she had probably been sent to check on me. No worries, I said I didn't ask for help; she stood for a minute and then walked off. So I continued browsing and did a thorough sweep of all bags and backpacks. I returned to my first choice which was tethered and i was making a decision when I saw the same staff person helping another customer who happened to be white and young. She unlocked a purse, the beeps went off, she fixed it and took it off its tether. She handed it to the girl and she went on her way. I called her over. She soured and then asked which one I wanted. I dragged it out and she unlocked it. Since she had handed the other girl her purse after unlocking it, I stood still waiting to be handed the purse to go pay. She looked up briefly and informed me it would be at the cash register waiting for me. I didn't want to make a fuss so I just walked away and went to get in line to go pay for the bag. But I was shaking my damn head the whole time. Inhave half a mind to call corporate but I don't know if they do anything. This happened at empower fcu in syracuse and corporate backed them up saying it couldn't be racism or discrimination. America for you! And all i wanted to do was spend some of my...
Read moreMy favorite part about any Marshalls is the home goods section. So many neat items. The clothing is give and take at this location. I have gone multiple times, but only twice did I find clothing to buy. A lot of the clothing needs to be inspected more thoroughly. While browsing I have come across shirts I loved, but after looking closer they either had stains or rips. Quite disappointing when you like something and they don't have multiples. The first time I went there I really liked this shirt that was on a mannequin. I asked an employee if I could have it, but she said rarely do they give clothes off mannequins. After investigation it was the only one in the store and happened to be my size. The employee hesitated giving it to me. Wouldn't you want to sell it to make money? When she finally did allow me to buy it I was thankful because it is one of my favorite shirts. Everyone knows at Marshalls they likely don't have multiples of items and honestly only clothing that has multiples should be placed...
Read moreThis place is great for the community but is quite lacking in products. When going to a store in the same brand family, I could spend over an hour (or longer) wandering around looking at everything. The longest I've spent in this store is about 20 minutes. The shoe section is underwhelming and the variety is hit or miss. The clothing options are definitely not what I'd want to spend hours digging through the racks for. My favorite part is the housewares. I've been able to find great things there and I do find the prices reasonable. I'll continue to visit the store when it...
