Hopewell Tailor Shop — Local services in Town of East Fishkill

I took my dress to Hopewell tailor on April 1st and the woman there told me that it would take about 5 weeks to do the work (hem and taking it in a smidge). She told me to give her a call on May 6th for a 2nd fitting. I called May 6th and she says she has STARTED on my dress and she has been really busy with prom dress season. She said that it'll take another week to 10 days and she would call me so I could come in to "at least do the bustle." I waited and called a week later. She said it'll be ready for a bustle fitting in a week. That's today and here's what happened: I called again and heard the same story as the last 2 calls. I figured " hey let me at least see my dress because that's better than waiting another week." So I went to the shop and just asked to see the progress on the dress since it as been there for 7 weeks. She shows me and there is nothing done. It's not even pressed. All the pins are there, it is completely wrinkled from sitting in the bag. She told me she has been really busy with prom dresses and other alterations but there is still plenty of time to alter my dress. I told her I understood but my dress has been in her shop for 7 weeks and nothing has been done. I left, dress in hand, 5 weeks before my wedding. I bought a dress from David’s bridal and was very unhappy with it and didn’t know what was wrong I just knew I didn’t like it. I stopped in for my daughters dress and brought up to her that I didn’t like my wedding dress and wasn’t sure why. When I showed Pattie the picture she immediately noticed that the belt was unflattering the cut was wrong and it looked too big and to bring it in. She ended up taking the dress in 2 full sizes, putting in bra cups, taking out the bustle on the High-low dress and hemming the bottom, removing the ugly belt and putting in a beautiful one, and actually moving the pleats away from my stomach to the side so it ended up looking like a completely different dress! I have a before and after picture and nobody can believe the difference it actually looks like I am 15 pounds lighter thank the original dress! She did it quickly, and expertly and I could not be happier with her service. The daughter was also wonderful and really helpful. I'm Writing this review cause i'm a disappointed unsatisfied customer and i wouldn't want anyone to go through what i just went through. I Specifically spoke to the owner patty and showed her pictures specifically of what i wanted which was 2 patches stitched on to an authentic jersey and she said she could do it. I allowed her to do the work and she did a horrible job! Not only was the stitching done incorrectly there also seems to be glue all around the patch. After picking up the jersey i voiced my frustration to both the owner and her daughter in regards to them messing up my jersey. They were both unprofessional and Rude they didn't even take no accountability they didn't even offer any solution or apology. I should've never paid them, the only reason they have 1 star is cause google doesn't give an option for 0 stars. I'm not even sure how these people are open for business when they treat customers like garbage.
