Ocean State Job Lot — Local services in Town of Fishkill

I love this store but recently I was racially profiled in the fishkill location for a simple misunderstanding.. I had went to purchase some items ( Christmas boxes) stood in line for 20 mins because the lady at the register didn’t know what she was doing .. I begin to get frustrated and just wanted to get out the store I placed my items down on the counter and let the lady ring up my items I tried purchasing a gift card but the cashier didn’t know how to active it so I told her forget about it I’ll just get the Christmas boxes. I’m trying to complete my purchase the lady tells me to wait until the blue light appears to insert my chip and I did as told everything goes through.. the lady is about to hand me a recipt I said you can trash it .. I’m not going to return Christmas boxes and I left .. two days later a detective calls me about a declined purchase from the place .. they had pressed charges against me from I guess not buying the items I had to go in for questioning write a statement and everything for a simple mis understanding.. I’m pretty sure the stores has camera they seen me wait online for 20mins .. they seen me do the transaction instead of contacting me about a purchase they press charges on me and basically tried to jeopardize everything I have going on in my life over a mistake that the cashier caused because she doesn’t know how to work the register.. I love Ocean State Job Lot, the place has everything you could want at amazing prices. However, this past weekend I noticed a manager at the front of the store by the registers speaking very rudely to some of the sales associates. He was speaking down upon them & the shoppers along with the other associates could all hear what he was saying. This is the second time I have witnessed this behavior by the same manager (has facial hair)One of the sales associates looked like she was about to cry. If a manager has something to say, it should be done privately. The associates in that store are always friendly when i go in. They work hard to keep the place clean and you can tell the place is understaffed which isn't the workers fault that the lines are always so long in there. The store has to hire more people but Im not sure how they would be able to keep anyone with that particular manager there either. Shame on him for speaking to these associates that way, hopefully he is addressed...

Fun place to look around and find good deals . "Update" this was a 5 star rating now downgraded to a 1 star asked to get a price on a pillow and got a full blown atitude saying the price was on the box well it was not i said just look it up she said no skew code can't do it said ok forget it then after I paid she looked it up after saying she could not ,then I mentioned cat litter not priced would have possibly purchased that to manager standing there then replied price was on the bags with her atitude I said its not I looked all over ,what's with all the nastiness????
