Can I give no stars? I'm not sure how they're in business at this point. My eldest daughter (age 7) started lessons there in October and my middle daughter (age 3) started in February. To begin with, lessons are EXPENSIVE- $60 for a four-week session that meets once a week for 30 minutes. So $15/30 minute lesson. But hey, the pool is just down from where we live so we'll pay a little more for convenience. The primary problem is that every month at least one lesson (and there's only four lessons per month) has been cancelled for some reason- the instructor is "sick", the pool heater is broken (the water is perpetually freezing anyways), or apparently there's something going on nearby and they're concerned about having sufficient parking so they cancel all lessons for the weekend??? I would like to add that not once have my girls had lessons cancelled due to weather (if it was a blizzard I could understand), it's always been other reasons. When lessons are cancelled, we have the ability to reschedule for a different day/time. However, makeups times are by age/ability level and only available a couple times a week- which may or may not work with our schedule and have to be completed by the end of that month (so if your lesson is abruptly cancelled without explanation towards the end of the month, it's on you to be available for one of the few makeups over the next couple days or lose that $15 you paid for a lesson that was cancelled through no fault of your own).
We have four children. I have purposefully scheduled my girls lessons to either take place at the same time or back-to-back so we're not driving back and forth to the pool more than once a week. However, now that lessons have been cancelled, AGAIN, I cannot schedule the girls' makeups together (because times are not available) nor is a makeup possible for my 3yo at any time other than immediately following her normal Saturday lesson. Thirty minutes is hard enough, what kind of 3yo is going to stay in a cold pool and pay attention to an instuctor for an hour straight?
I'm not normally one to write reviews, and certainly not poor ones. However, we have been patient with them for months and the apparent expectation is that we either drop everything to make ourselves available for makeups at their convenience or have already expensive lessons cancelled without reimbursement, also at their convenience. My girls will not be swimming...
Read moreI love this place! So does my child. We are getting lessons there for my 9 year old. She likes it a lot and is learning. I am happy I took it upon myself to go to this place. If I had taken the reviews seriously, I really would have missed out this summer. This place is super clean, beautiful, spacious and never super crowded on a Saturday morning, which makes lessons great.
My daughter tried dance, and other lessons, and She likes this place and lessons so much.
I do not live at this pool, but the bathrooms seem very clean and efficient to clean up, dry off and get dressed in.
The pool temperature was super, I normally do not like to get right in, but I am now swimming for a half hour while my child is learning, so we are both getting a lot out of this place. I can pay 10 dollars and swim all day. My child is getting four lessons a month and two makes up if needed for 60 a month. I do not find this expensive. Seems super reasonable for a facility this size, that is also a small business. The pool is super clean, and there is plenty of staff around to help.
I wish people would be more patient and understanding when it comes to leaving feedback for a small business.
I have been there every week of summer 2018 and it has...
Read moreFirst time was 4 mos ago. Wasnt impressed. Not bad just simply average. I was hopeful for as i live close. this is more of "once in a while ill come here pool" Sadly-no changing rooms/lockers. Only stall bathrooms that were a bit dingy looking. The 1 shower has little to no pressure and was only cold water. The pool looks like it needs a lil srubbing. very cold water on the day i went- other reviews have notice that as well. Seems like they might rely on sunny days to warm up the pool? and i went on a non sunny day. Lifeguard was helpful but i hope the center can get a more reliable heater and updated bathrooms.
Update 2021. I went again in the las month. I believe they have new heater. Pool was much warmer. Bathrooms r same.
Update 2022 I went less and less frequently here.…many cancellations due to “maintenance” issues. I understand things come up but here it was a regular occurrence to be closed. Check their FB announcements for yourself and see how many times they cancelled in the last year. It’s not worth a...
