I have been coming to the Hacienda as long as I can remember. I have always loved their food and the dining atmosphere. It has always been one of my top favorite restaurants. However, I am becoming less impressed with the service as time goes on. Last night, my boyfriend and I decided to ask for a table outside to have a few drinks. We werenāt sure if we were going to order food just yet as we werenāt too hungry. We were given chips and salsa which is always a staple when you sit down at a table. Typically, they always bring out a small free quesadilla as well which everyone knows. We watched other tables get their free quesadilla but for some reason they continued to withhold ours from us. At this point we decided to get an order of the burritos so now we ordered both food and multiple drinks. I asked one of the women who brings them out if we would have then as well. She told me āuno momentoā and then said something to our waitress in Spanish with the words ending in āquesadillaā as they walked back inside the restaurant. Our waitress came outside and continued to serve the other tables, then came over and asked if we wanted another drink. I said no but if we could please have the little quesadillas. She agreed to get them and then came back with only one and told us āthey only have one right now. Iāll see if I can get you another one.ā Although our waitress was very nice we were never given the second quesadilla even after I had to ask two times, ordering both food and drinks.. It really didnāt make any sense at all. Iām not sure if the kitchen may only make a certain amount at a time when people arrive but then it should have been communicated that our table never received them. That is always my favorite part of sitting down and I was very disappointed that I had to jump through so many hoops to only get one when we had a table of two people. I will still go to the hacienda in the future as I love their food but please have your servers follow through...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf there was a 0 stars, I would give that. First overpriced. Second 3 out of 4 family members got food poisoning here with the sour cream. Between 45 after we started eating got severely sick in the car. Quesadillas are not what you would expect. It is 3 small Tortillas instead of one big and had to ask for cheese as it didn't had cheese. Was charged extra too. My granddaughter was not happy that is wasn't what she and we all expected. On top all meats are cooked with onions and peppers apparently. Another no no especially when dining with kids. I asked to get it changed to tacos as the plate is not the quesadilla you will get in other mexican restaurants and custom to. Again had to ask for cheese and a extra charge. At this point, I will say anything you ask like cheese, sour cream or sauce, etc. is an extra charge. Table was full of empty dishes making hard to eat. Even a coke was spilled as we tried to accommodate things. We asked for another plate if the same as the dinner was ruined and again was charged for the new plate. This is a place so close to Legoland. The first place to eat when leaving the park. Menu should be more simple to customers that don't like onions and peppers. In a Mexican restaurant you would expect cheese and sour cream to be included in your meal. The most horrible experience so far. Besides the $155 bill for 3 adults and 1 child. No alcohol no appetizers. Just main dishes, 3 sodas as I had my own bottle of water. Honestly the only good thing is that the food was hot. Taste was not there. Friendliness was non existing. Neither the willingness to make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe owner and staff of this restaurant are awesome! Where do we start? As part of our weekend getaway to Legoland we found this spot and decided to have dinner with our two 6 year old twins whom one of them is on the autism spectrum as well as having to feed thru a g-tube. We did not expect to stay an extra day on vacation but decided to do it since the Circus was in town and thought it would be great to take the kids that evening. The problem with traveling with a kid on a gtube is that all of his meals must be pre-made and pureed. The conundrum we faced was that we did not have enough food for the following day. This is where the staff and owner of La Hacienda stepped in. After explaining our situation to them they offered to make a mexican food puree for our son and made it to the right consistency in order for us to administer it thru way of syringe. Not only did they make it right the owner himself checked in with Mom to make sure it was up to her expectations. As I always say this world has angels that walk among us. Thank you to all of the staff of La Hacienda for allowing our autistic son and our family to enjoy another day in Middletown. Im sure it took a whole crew to accommodate this request from the waitress who initiated the request to the chef's who prepared it and to the owner who allowed them all to serve us and our son. We will definitely be returning year after year. We encourage those who visit Legoland with kids who have disabilities to support this restaurant. Not everyone goes out of their way for our kiddos.
Gracias.
