Placed an order for July 4th a month ago. I called today to confirm pickup tomorrow. I was told no special orders for holidays. Why did you take my order then? Left me with no meat for my cookout

Got a long response from my last post. The response is lies. We never spoke on the phone until I called to confirm pick up (order was placed in person). If you had no record of my order, how do you know what I ordered (since you mention it in your response)? I offered to leave a deposit when I ordered and was told that was not necessary and that I would get a call to confirm a few days before pick up. Since you had my phone number, why didn't you call to ask for a deposit, if that is your policy, or explain that there was a problem fulfilling my order? I could have taken this order at any time before the 4th of July but was told July 1 pick up was OK. You are trying to blame me for your employee's incompetence. I wanted to surprise my son and daughter in law with a special Christmas dinner. They were expecting their first baby at any moment, which made this gift a present of convenience, deliciousness and uniqueness. TWO Tomahawk Steaks ordered well in advance for Christmas Eve pickup. What they gave me was ONE piece of meat on this huge bone. It was a roast too large to put on the grill. I was instructed to reverse sear it- bake it(???). I DIDN’T order a roast, I ordered 2 steaks. The gift theme was for a BBQ- Tomahawk steaks, shrimp cocktails, Cesar Salad among more side dishes (video attached). My son is a grill guy- not a baker. The meat was RUINED. In essence, I paid near $150 for a roast beef that was handed to me wrapped in butcher paper decorated with a Christmas ornament and sprig of pine. Terrible customer service went there yesterday 6/24 to get a brisket was informed by the lady behind the counter that the brisket will be on sale starting tomorrow 6/25 for $5.99 per lb. I ask what were the smallest briskets available. She said 10-11lb and up. Drove there from Otisville now twice and when I get there she says they only have 15-16 lb. So as far as I am concerned 2 things, 1 why would you not just sell me the brisket at $5.99 lb that day if you are going to tell me about the sale. And 2 why make me take a 25 minute ride one way when you never checked to see how if you had 10-11lb brisket. Never again will go to Prime meats in Milford...
