Sale prices for several of the items I purchased on 09/22/19, were not in the computer system and cashier was not experienced or trained properly and had to ask another cashier how to remove the security lock on a sweater I purchased. Has $370.00+ of merchandise and couldn't watch cashier ring up my numerous items, until close to the end. I noticed some jewelry that was 40% off rang up at regular price, a denim shirt dress was on a rack that was originally marked $30.00 and was also was supposed to be marked 40% off not in computer system. I received a coupon in the mail for $15.00 off a purchase of $75.00 or more and showed & displayed the couple to the cashier well in advance and she rang up the total and stated I would have to go to the service desk to get my $15.00 off my merchandise. Told the customer service employee about the price discrepancies and she called an elderly foreign speaking employee in women's dept about the 2 price discrepancies and she did say the jewelry was supposed to be 40% off, but the shirt dress was not. Well, the rack I found it in everything was marked 40% off. Guarantee you that the dress was 40% off and in the clearance section as it was a summer dress and not fall/winter. Manager was very rude and condescending. I said this was my second time shopping the Grand Chute store and both times were very bad shopping experiences and I would never shop their again. Clothing runs really small for the price you pay and no customer service in departments. I will not recommend this Meijer store to anyone & as a result seeing what I purchased the first time one month ago and yesterday they will be losing a lot of money. Buyer BEWARE of prices when checking out or you will not get the correct price for your merchandise. How many other customers got ripped off &...
Read moreI'm giving 4 stars for the fact that my back up item wasn't used to replace the items that weren't in stock. I made another seperate order with what was supposed to be the back up item and missed out on the bigger discount but my big problem is with a worker. I will not rate lower due to this worker as I don't think my experience with her reflects the full store. Today was my first time at the store. I had online orders for a good amount of diapers. I usually shop at Target and I've had to help move my pick up items around to make them fit so when the employee, Molly, came up to my vehicle today I mentioned that I can help if the all don't fit in the back. Molly's tone changed and she said to me "I do this for a living". I didn't mean to offend her whatsoever. She finished and went back inside. I remembered I needed to get a cake and went in through the other side of the store. My son and I walked towards the other side of the store and I saw the previous employee that I just encountered walking towards the doors where she then stopped and was loudly complaining to another employee about me. She mentioned me not thinking the diapers would fit and apparently it made her mad. It was a ridiculous thing to be offended about and the fact that she didn't know that I had entered the store and heard her was the great part. I worked fast food before and I have had many experiences with customers who were jerks. I was trying to be helpful and was very kind about it so it was definitely uncalled for. Molly if you were having a bad day, that's fine, but learn to be less offended when someone offers to help and never talk about a customer because you never know when they are...
Read moreNever buy meat here. I've been disappointed so many times. Meat that is on sale will only last maybe 12 hrs in your fridge. Steaks are subpar. Just got a New York strip, literally could taste cow manure. Point blank, no way am i trying the chicken. The buyer for this store has no idea what they are doing. Not sure if there are allocations on some products but it seems like the buyer doesn't watch buying trends. They consistently have empty shelves, empty frozen areas, no eggs... purple cow ice cream, their signature brand and they stock the flavors that people don't want and never stock enough of what people do like. (Blueberry is always fully stocked, cookies and cream is never in stock). The points are great, but you can't use them for gas. Lost 5000 points to learn that lesson. Pick and choose items. Meijers brand often tastes off or different. Meijer sugar cookies, where on earth did that recipe come from because those were not sugar cookies. I'm babbling because I'm mad the steak tasted so horrible and it wasnt cheap. Fed up maybe. It's a clean store. The essential staff are friendly and helpful. Management ... meh. I had an issue with gift cards and the service desk person spoke to me like a criminal when I didn't have a receipt, mildly changed her tone when I produced the recipt on the meijer app. There are some good things and some bad. Veggies last a good amount of time. The loose vegetable area is terrible. The hanging signs tell me nothing unless I know the difference between all the greens. They are a little more expensive overall but I will go there due to close proximity and the points come in handy...
