When we walked in, our friends had already gotten us a table and the host was very confused on if we needed a table for two, four or a table at all, even though we told him we already had a table and we were joining our friends. The BEST part of this experience was our server, Lola. The drinks, sucked. The food, absolutely soggy wrap, the fish fry… oh lord. One of us had baked, you get one fillet and it’s the smallest weakest piece of fish I’ve ever seen. Another got breaded fish, and he stated there was hardly any fish compared to breading. And then the bill came and it was outrageous. There were five of us, and most of us never been to a holidays before. I can guarantee, we will never be coming back. Do NOT waste your money here.OHH! And get this. The manager walked around and touched our table, asked how everything was, I turned to him and said we were very unhappy, he said okay and turned away. No exaggeration. I wish I could get my money back.
UPDATE: the owner responded to my review, and used the excuse they’re busy on Fridays with it being a large restaurant. Dearest owner, please take this as a learning opportunity and limit seating if you cannot keep up. It’s better to minimize seating and make good food and drinks, rather than maximize seating and...
Read moreAfter driving to 4 different places and finding them all closed, my family ended up at Holidays in Appleton on a whim… and we were so pleasantly surprised! We had the boneless wings (jalapeño aioli sauce) as an appetizer and they were delicious! They were not too spicy at all, but full of flavor, even my 2 year old loved them!
My husband and I got the prime rib panini (w/ au jus) and the bacon cheese curd sandwich with chicken (instead of a burger) and both were seriously awesome! Portions were big, we both had half leftover to take home, and I would definitely order either of these items again. The sauces they serve with the fries for dipping were also so so good (garlic Parmesan was the best!) Kids meals were reasonably priced (around $6) and my kids cleared their plates. We had the berry moscow mule and a blueberry mojito and we both really enjoyed those as well.
The back patio space is really cute with a large tv and fireplace, it’s open air into the indoor table seating area as well. We actually would have never even known they had a patio when looking at the building from the street, but it was a great little spot! Great service from our server as well! I have seen some recent positive reviews for Holidays, and I have to agree…highly recommend...
Read moreI hate to give a new location a bad review although they took off 3 items because the food was cold but the plate was hot. The food I would rank a 1 star at best.. I think because they're just opening up they're having issues in the kitchen because the one in Neenah is very good so with that said at this moment. I will update my review Once I go there in a couple months to see if anything's changed. The bartender service was awesome the place is clean and it look like the servers were hustling to keep up with the people that were there but like I said the food wasn't very good they had a very good beer menu but they were out of spotted cow which is a Wisconsin staple I thought that was odd. I will reevaluate this place in a couple months to see if anything changed but at this time I will not be going back because the food wasn't very good at all it was cold and overpriced. Also I don't like that they don't give a military discount. Last week the kitchen times are about a half an hour...
