To be completely honest. Dutchmill is one of my favorite places not only in Greece but in Rochester. It has the best mix of the people that I want to hang out with and the people that I never knew that I wanted to hang out with. This place is awesome., I mean in all honesty it should be some type of Epic bard. There are the highest and the lowest class of people that attend. It's like hanging out with your grandparents friends and your cousins friends. This place is just always amazing. If it was a tell that was told by Tolkien the story would have to talk about the tale of getting there to finish the night. The tale would speak about the Epic stories of the bartenders and the Bands. It would talk about things being put on the screens when no one was watching. It would talk about the random friends that you make when you are not expecting. The dutchmill is ran by the most amazing couple ever. No matter how much I want to say it will not get you ready for the amazingness that this place is. From everything that I've said right now. Everything that I could say. Just ask for one of the Bloody Mary's. Once you have one you will understand. Also Lilac Festival is coming out. Make sure you go and vote for them because they are the...
Read moreA good meal, at a good price in a good neighborhood bar. Good, but unremarkable.
Had a late lunch on Saturday. There was about ten other people there, and most seemed to be well known regulars.
The atmosphere is a local bar. A bit worn out, but clean with fresh air and some windows providing natural light in the front.
Service was laid back, but reasonably prompt. The food came out quickly and was hot. There was no trouble getting the bartender's attention even though it was clear she was good friends with one group of customers.
We started with a pretzel appetizer. The pretzels were excellent, but the mustard dipping sauce had a bit too much horseradish for our taste. My reuben was decent. My wife's chicken sandwich was was good, but a little hard to eat. The chicken breast kept falling out. The fries were excellent, golden and crispy. My mac salad was...
Read moreIf zero stars was choice I would pick that. Been there twice just to watch bands perform. My daughter is musician, therefore like to go see local talent. First time there was fine, nobody said anything while we sat at table and watched band perform. Second, time we walked in and some lady who works there approached me immediately and told me my daughter since a minor not allowed since after 10pm. I find that weird since it’s bar/restaurant. The lady reeked of booze herself and slurred her words, and screamed in my ear. I find that very unprofessional if supposedly working. The atmosphere is very out dated, run down, and smells like old basement. Never tried the food, but if staff is drunk making it, no thanks!
I will stick to places more friendly and modern...
