I took the day to do some shopping with my 11-year-old daughter. When I get to the checkout to pay for my items, the cashier must have been between 60-65 years old. I ask her if she can apply a 15% coupon I found at the web page, she told me that I had to pay with a Khol's card. I tried to explain her that there was one that applies with the card and the other does not specify anything, with an attitude of indifference she told me no. Suddenly, I remembered that they had given me a coupon minutes before at the Amazon returns station. This lady started flapping her hands and gave me an annoyed look! I asked her what the problem was and asked to speak to a supervisor. She told me it wasn't necessary, that she couldn't apply the coupon if I didn't give it to her. (Basically, stop talking and give me the coupon) She even told me that I had to tell her about the coupon first. The supervisor who came didn't bother to ask what had happened. He treated me like one of those customers who are overacting and giving the cashier a hard time. I went to pay for my other things at the self-check out, I was able to apply the coupon that she had told me I can’t used without the Khol’s card!
I don't want to think this lady treated me this way simply because I have an accent or because I am from another culture since every time I tried to communicate in English I saw the discomfort on her face.
I just wanted to have a good time with my daughter. I had a conversation with her about how bad I felt having spoken like that to an older person and even more so in front of her. Her response was that she understood me, and that she also felt bad seeing this lady's reaction. Read moreLet me start by saying I go here a lot so this kind of makes me sad me and my wife love doing puzzles together and we found a section of puzzles at Kohl's after getting her favorite Disney characters a four set of puzzles we went home and proceeded to do them after finishing one we went into the next and found missing pieces chalked it up to it just being our fault we went into the next and found even more missing pieces now no longer having the second puzzle and completing and gluing the first puzzle we have an uncompleted puzzle on our desk and a puzzle that's not started new still in the box. Now obviously we just wanted to enjoy ourselves doing a puzzle we didn't think it was going to be missing Stuff Etc so we decided to take the one puzzle that was left back for an exchange so that way we could get the missing pieces we didn't have. With that being said this puzzle was only about $10 Kohl's refused to do an exchange or a return on a $10 puzzle to satisfy a customer who shops their regularly and even has an open credit account with them.
