Refresh Smoothie Bar — Restaurant in Town of Greece

Was in the area so I decided to finally stop by for a couple of smoothies. Got a small strawberry banana smoothie with a lemon power shot and a dragon berry bowl. The banana in the banana smoothie was a bit underripe, and I wasn’t wowed by it. The dragon berry bowl was honestly disappointing, especially because I was looking forward to it. The blueberries they used were disgusting. They tasted like sugar water, so I believe they’re frozen. I really, really tried to like it and to finish it, but I ultimately poured it down the drain when I got home with it, literally wasting the $10 it cost, it was so gross. Also they had the music on extremely loud for such a small space, probably to come off as hip and upbeat, but I felt like I was in a workout studio for Zumba or something. The music shouldn’t be so loud that it’s literally vibrating...

First of all I have no clue how they do it but the fruit on top of the smoothie bowls is always perfectly ripe no matter the season - no clue how they do it but it's incredible to get perfect strawberries or blueberries in the winter. Everything I've tried has been delicious but I've definitely settled in as a PB cup meal replacer and Sunrise Acai bowl (with added coconut, because, yes, you can customize) sort of gal. No matter which location I'm at I feel like there's always a 50% chance I'll see the owner, Blair. No clue how she does it but she's definitely incredibly hard working and I was so pleased to see her business grow out into Perinton recently! Smoothie was really good but the sweetness of the aguava took me by surprise since I’m used to going to a vegan smoothie bar and just getting fruits in my smoothies, it was a little overwhelming..I asked if I could get it without the sweetener and the manager had a very dry rude attitude..after I heard the way she responded to counter girl I asked for a refund. She refused and the counter girl was nice enough to apologize and remake it for me.
