From our initial consultation, Chef Matthew was incredibly communicative and attentive. He took the time to understand what I wanted for my husband’s birthday dinner. He crafted a custom menu that perfectly balanced what I thought my hubby would want with his own creative culinary flair using seasonal local ingredients. We had young grandchildren we wanted to include and still enjoy an adult only dinner, Chef suggested ways to manage that successfully! On the evening of the event, Chef Matthew arrived promptly and was incredibly organized. He and his wonderful server Mary, brought all necessary equipment and made themselves at home in our kitchen with remarkable efficiency. Their presence was professional yet friendly, and they seamlessly managed the cooking while we enjoyed ourselves like guests in our own home. And the food! Every dish was a masterpiece. Read moreWe hosted a special birthday dinner in our home with Chef Matthew. The evening exceeded our expectations. Chef Mattew was professional, friendly, organized and extremely knowledgeable about the dishes he served. Now let’s talk about what’s really important… the food! We had a surf and turf menu, bake clams, shrimp cocktail and spring rolls to start. What a fantastic beginning to the evening. Our guests are still talking about the delicious cocktail sauce! The dinner began with a pickled beet salad, hydroponic greens topped with a goat cheese spring roll with a fantastic dressing. We continued with duck confit which nothing short of amazing. It’s Chef Matthew’s specialty and we HIGHLY recommend it. We could have ended the meal on this high note, but there was more to come. Next came the entree which was filet mignon which melted in your mouth and a lobster tail with a garlic butter sauce that we couldn’t get enough of. The asparagus and dauphinoise potato was a perfect accompaniment. This culinary experience ended with key lime pie which we requested and a vanilla bean gelato which was made by Chef Matthew himself. Each course was explained in detail regarding the process of preparation and the origin of the ingredients. His staff was professional as well and cordial to our guests.
