Race Awesome — Local services in Town of Hempstead

They are extremely inflexible when it comes to working with you on deferring or refunds of any kind, even if weeks before the race, and are extremely expensive for the services they provide. I've raced in dozens of half marathons and would highly recommend looking at other race companies instead.

UPDATE - As you can see from the company's response, they are doubling down on their posted inflexible policies and proving they aren't receptive to customer feedback nor the idea of working with customers. Just because a policy is posted publicly and agreed to doesn't make it flexible. You can check out their very expensive pricing and public policies for yourself and make your own decision. Over past several years I have participated in several Race Awesome events. The events are well ran and staffed. The volunteers are awesome and the volunteer program is amazing. If you volunteer for a 5k you get a race credit which can be used to gain entry in to another race awesome 5k for you or your family member. The longer the race the more race credits you get. The owners of Race Awesome are always giving back to the community and raising funds for various charities. The event SWAG is unmatched. From umbrellas to folding chairs your always leaving the event with something cool 😎 and not a low quality...

Disappointing company, unwilling to refund for races “post-poned” due to COVID-19. Rescheduling a race for October is considered not-cancelling the event. Company is unsympathetic to conditions outside of anyones control. They may or may not put on good events, but they certainly lack compassion for participants and only care about their money.
