We had dinner at Miso last night and it was absolutely amazing! My daughter has been wanting to try authentic ramen for a while now and we chose Miso based on reviews. I'm so happy we did!
I'm a vegetarian and the rest of the family eats meat so it's not always easy to find options for everyone. We ordered edamame, gyoza, tempura, scallion pancakes, a crispy chicken bun, California rolls and each had a different type of ramen. The batter for the tempura was very light and crispy and the scallion pancakes were the best I ever had.
We had the chicken, Tonkotsu and veggie ramen dishes and all of the broths were very flavorful and delicious. My husband said the pork was tender, my daughter said the chicken was some of the best she's ever had, and we all thought the noodles and toppings were cooked perfectly.
Everything was very fresh, the staff was super friendly and the space is laid back and decorated nicely. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend...
Read moreWe’ve ordered from this place multiple times, and it has always been an excellent experience. This place consistently delivers high-quality Japanese cuisine, and we’ve never been disappointed. On our most recent visit, we ordered beef negimaki, steak fried rice, and two specials: the holiday roll and a spicy crunchy white fish roll (offered as part of their two-for-the-price-of-one sushi special). The food was fresh, flavorful, and came with a variety of sauces and utensils, making it convenient and enjoyable to eat right away. We opted for pickup, which was seamless, but they also offer delivery for an additional fee. Another bonus is their pricing policy—there’s a discount if you pay in cash, which is a nice touch. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. If you’re a fan of Japanese food, this spot is a must-try. Their consistently great food and service make it a reliable choice for dining...
Read moreNot bad. Not great. Probably the most authentic option for what’s around here in Mineola (comparing to other sushi or Chinese places nearby) so it’s a nice addition to the neighborhood. However it’s far from actually authentic Japanese ramen, more of Chinese fusion. Bok Choy and Chinese style Char Shiu Pork aren’t exactly traditional Japanese elements in ramen. The broth is flavorful but almost a bit too close to the concentrated pork bone packet broth you’d find on Amazon. Still serviceable but still a big gap from what you’d find in the city or a truly authentic Japanese ramen place. The servers are very nice and courteous. I’d still return or order take out from here if I have a ramen craving and don’t want...
