HI had a R/X that needed to be filled by a specialty pharmacy that Walgreens had to transfer. I had to seek the proper specialty pharmacy & spoke with them.They gave me fax info & told me to call my pharmacy& give it to them so that they could begin the transfer of the specialty r/x. I spoke with the female pharmacist who took the contact inform & said she would contact the specialty pharmacy. I followed up a few days later& she said she was able to successfully transfer the r/x! Yay, right? No! So here it is a week later, I decided to follow up on the r/x bc I hadn't heard anything. I was told by the specialty pharmacy that they had NO record of a r/x transfer & did not have me on file! What??? I immediately tried to call Walgreens pharmacy to speak to the pharmacist AGAIN & was hung up on/disconnected TWICE before a gentleman answered the phone claiming to be the pharmacist. I explained the situation & he proceeded to give me info I already have which clearly meant he did not understand what I was asking. I had a strong feeling he was not the pharmacist since the last time I spoke with the alleged pharmacist , it was a woman...what Walgreens has TWO pharmacists? Never heard of it! I go to this loc allll the time! So I have wasted a WEEK waiting for a much needed r/x that was never properly transferred. I am VERY VERY upset bc I feel I was deceived AND my time was wasted!! I've been trying for over 3 weeks to get this r/x filled & instead of telling me that the pharmacist was not available (I would have been happy to call back early the next day since it was already after 5p) a technician proceeded to pretend to be a licensed pharmacist and tell me what I already knew which was that they would have to resubmit to the specialty pharmacy. Update: this Walgreens couldnāt fill my script for a week and a half, had all kind of stupid excuses, I transferred it to Freeport Walgreens (after an week of Uniondale giving me every excuse under the sun) and it was filled within the day.
Uniondale gave me the run away, canceled my prescription TWICE, didnāt even know until I told them and had to have them process it. Supposedly then medicine was ordered and should have been there in two days. Those two days came and the order was never placed. Same nonsense when I called on that second day, Iāll call it in so another and have it here tomorrow. Tomorrow came and it wasnāt called in. Finally then I called my Dr to transfer it, enough is enough with the Uniondale workers.
Point is - donāt waste your time with this pharmacy , they are rude, disrespectful. Hon, or Kathy especially, I was told that was her name (not sure itās true) is no help, hung up the phone on me. Told me to look for other pharmacyās. As a pharmacist YOU should be looking at other pharmacyās or manufacture to fill my prescription NOT ME. In no world should I be waiting here a week for my prescription to be filled.

I am beyond frustrated with the Walgreens Pharmacy in Uniondale. Every time my doctor sends in a prescription, it'sĀ neverĀ ready when I come to pick it up. Today was the last straw. I went to pick up prescriptions for my son ā they gave meĀ oneĀ item and then just walked away from the drive-thru window. I sat there waiting, completely ignored by the staff, even though they all clearly saw me.
I had to knock on the window just to get someone to acknowledge me. Turns out, there wereĀ moreĀ prescriptions, but the staff didnāt bother to tell me because one wasnāt covered by insurance. Instead of simply letting me know, they said nothing. I told them I would pay out of pocket, and only then did they tell me to come back in 30 minutes.
