Barryville Farmers' Market — Local services in Town of Highland

Great little farmer’s market in front of the Barryville UMC. Friendly staff and vendors, with some great selection of produces, meats, dairy products. Wish they had more baked goods, they do have a baked good vendor but due to the pandemic they only accept pre orders from their site and you have to place your order before Thursday for the following Saturday. We are staying from out of town and this was a last minute trip to the farmers market so we did t get to preorder. There is a stall run by Pink’s that sells breakfast burritos and ice coffee/ tea. They also sell empanadas, tamales, and falafal which was a nice surprise as it’s not listed on the website. You can go out back of the church and sit on the grass over looking the Delaware River. Parking is available across the street at the funeral home. Parking attendants were on hand to assist with directing traffic. Went 2 weeks ago, tomatoes @ $6.50 a pd were tasteless. Is that the going rate for tomatoes at the markets? At least the stand that was selling everything for $20 a pound is not there this year. Plums are still hard as rocks. Weather related? The Monticello farmers market, tomatoes are very tasty, $5 for a carton peaches were excellent, same $5 a carton. Will be trying the other markets. Lots of fresh farmer's products, expensive, very good quality. You could find there dairy, vegetables, fruits, meats, breads, pastries, mushrooms. Market is working only on Saturday. Tip: gluten free bread is not tasty, hot apple cider is good and too sweet, apple cider donuts...
