Ok, so I have been going to this nail salon for about 2 years now, and today was my last time. When I first started going here, I was using any manicurist they decided to give me, but then I got my nails done by Anna, and I was really happy with her work. So from there on out, she was my girl. During one visit, I was getting my nails done by Anna, and I passed out and awoke to a customer putting cold compresses on my head as well as putting alcohol under my nose. Sherry, the owner, was very helpful, and ever since then, she was fairly nice to me whenever I returned. I even brought cookies for the staff just to show my appreciation. So as weeks, months went by I noticed she was quite moody and showed attitudes to quite a few customers including my mother who usually comes with me and uses Eva. Even me sometimes, but I know firsthand how hard It is to work with the public and I brushed it off. While receiving my beautiful manicure from Anna 4 weeks ago, she told me that she will be going on vacation for 50 days starting July 19th. I told Anna I would probably use Ivy since they sit next to each other, and I witnessed all the beautiful work she did as well. Anna agreed Ivy was a good choice. Fast forward to this past Sunday. I called the store and asked Sherry if Ivy was working on Wednesday since I had the day off. She said Ivy was off and she would schedule me with another manicurist. But I really wanted Ivy, so we scheduled a 2pm appointment for Thursday. My job asked me to work on Thursday, so I called Sherry once again on Tuesday and told her I would like to come in Wednesday with anyone but CoCo. We made an appointment for Wednesday at 11am. Sooooo today is the Wednesday, and I choose my colors and sit down to wait. 20 minutes later Sherry asked what color I chose. I told her I have a picture with a design that I wanted, so I had 5 colors I would need. She grabbed each sample one by one with such force as if I was bothering her and I sensed her huge attitude. No big deal I bushed it off. Waited another 10 minutes, then she said to sit in her chair, that she would take the old polish off. Now I had her do this a few times prior, and she was very rough and very pushy with my hands, so I expected nothing else. Another customer came to the counter to pay and mentioned they were unhappy with a few nails a manicurist did, so she walked away and fixed the lady's nails while I sat there for at least another 15 minutes. No big deal. She returns and asked to see the picture of my design. I told her I wanted everything the same except for the tiny eyeball. She told me why did you pick this design if you don't want it. (I will insert a picture to show how tiny the eyeball is) I told her it was my choice and I liked the design because it is Fun! She said its to many colors. Why don't you choice a different one. WAIT! First of all, it's my nails, and second, no one asked for your opinion. How dare you! I've seen countless people sit in these chairs for hours with alot of colors more than me, and she even posted these designs on Instagram. Most designs do entail more than one color. Well I guess it was a day to just be miserable and took it out on me but she just lost a faithful customer that goes there ever 2 weeks for a acrylic fill, a gel manicure and spa pedicure. Unfortunately I will miss Anna but my money is good anywhere and there are hundreds of other salons to go to. **WARNING: JUST BEWARD SHERRY IS A VERY MOODY PERSON, SHE IS RUDE AND ANGRY TO THE WRONG CUSTOMER! DO BETTER SHERRY! YOUR WORK IS...
Read moreWas recommended to go here by a friend since I needed to find a new nail salon closer to work. They gave me a big basket of gel swatches to look through to pick the color. Before I had picked, I asked the girl doing my nails “are all of these colors the same price?” She looks at me and says yes. She rushes through the entire process and was on her phone half the time but that’s besides the point. When I went up to the counter to pay, a new woman rung me up and says it will be $38. I said well isn’t regular gel $28? It says it right there on your menu. I assured her I even checked with the girl who did my nails that every color was the same price and the woman then tries to tell me she must’ve misunderstood my question and doesn’t speak good English and because I picked this certain color, it was $10 more. I explained that since I am the customer, and I was never told that, it isn’t right to charge me that extra $10. At this point, it’s not about the money it’s about doing right by the customer. She proceeds to aggressively argue with me so much so that it became tacky. I told her to do whatever you need to do, and that if a $10 sale is more important to you than having a customer leave with a bad taste in their mouth, then so be it. Customer service was absolutely awful. First and last time here. Will never come...
Read moreI was referred here by two people. I went today to remove my current acrylic set and get a new acrylic set put on. I saw Amy. She used a dirty, metro card… yes you read that right, the one you use for the NYC subways, to try and remove my old acrylic nails from my natural nails. WHAT?! This place is so dirty, outdated, and it’s like a sweat shop with 20 nail techs working in a 10x10 space. I was so appalled by this place I changed my mind throughout the appointment and only did a powder gel instead of new acrylic set. Amy will constantly talk about you in a different language as she is doing your nails, like she doesn’t have time for you and just wants to make as much money in tips as possible by doing as many clients as she can. It seemed like a total inconvenience for her when I jerked my hand away after having her try to slip the metro card underneath my nail, and asking to have her soak them off instead. I’m not sorry that took an extra ten minutes from your day Amy, but that technique is extremely UNSANITARY. I honestly felt so dirty when I walked in this place, I should have just left the minute I walked in, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Please do yourself a favor and go...
