Halfway through the movie tonight I left as the movie had open captions on throughout the entire movie. When I picked our seats at the counter, the young man said the blue seats were all taken. We picked seats in the grey. As it turns out, nobody was sitting in those seats and very few people were in the seats in that theatre at all. No clue why at this point, the movie started with dialogue that was hard to hear. The open captions came on so you could read what you could not clearly hear. I thought, ok, this is just at the beginning of the movie. Maybe because I am old I did not read the board adjacent to the refreshment stand. I saw a young girl who worked there when I cam out of the movie halfway through and asked her about it since I have NEVER been to a movie with open captions before. She said I could talk to the manager. I told her I would talk to her after the movie as my wife was still in there. I should have talked with her right then. The manager was condecending and borderline rude. She tried to make me happy with a popcorn and drink coupon. She had no interest in listening to me. I understand her point that since we were in the theatre the entire time that we were not entitled to a refund but she could have met us half way. She told me that once a week there is a movie with open captions for hearing impaired people. I get that but it was not printed on the ticket like she said it would be and as the girl who helped me said. The board has OC in small letters and was poorly lit. I guess for people not retired it was enough to see but we never thought this would happen. Her attitude was the worst. I operate my business' with one simple thought. "It takes 10 years to build a reputation and 10 seconds to ruin it. Clearly she does not have the best interest of the owners in mind. We will never go back just because of how she treated us. My advice, read the board carefully because it was not listed as OC on...
Read moreDone with this place. Spur of the moment visit for a Tuesday night movie in January. Ordered tickets online as it seemed easier but charged a $1.50 service fee for ticket. I'm saving your company labor and I get charged for it??? Free popcorn tuesday so got my bag with butter. When I found my seat my popcorn was cold just like my previous visit. Figured I'd eat some and then go get a refill since it's free popcorn night. Was informed that there are no refills and only one free bag per account. I could have had my girlfriend sing up real quick to get another free bag of day old cold popcorn but I'm sure they would have found some other excuse. Nowhere on their advertisements does it say no refills. So at 815 at night when the concesssion closes they probably just bag it up for another day. Overall a nice facility but if you can't even have fresh popcorn, no thanks. (The following is my previous review) Visited the new theatre in Lake Geneva for our first movie in about four years to see Midway on a chilly Veteran's Day. The parking lots was plowed from the fresh snow and plenty of room to park. Lobby was bright and clean and since it was slow they did tickets at concession stand. Ordered a med popcorn and two medium sodas. Typical prices (from what I remembered) of concession prices as tickets were cheaper than snacks. Sorry to see they didn't have any combo pricing. Good selection of flavor of sodas. Recliners were awesome and theatre had amazing sounds and picture. Dove into the popcorn and found it to be cold. Ate about half of it and couldn't take anymore so went for a refill and the second batch was just as cold as the...
Read moreHorrible experience. I have been to emagine theater multiple times and I have enjoyed my visit every single time up to tonight. I called emagine ahead of time, asked for showing that would have minimal people due to having two children on the spectrum I arrived there was maybe 3 families plus mine so 4 families all in total.i choose two cuddle seats all the way in the front so kids can stretch legs and feel comfortable. In theater all families were seated to the back of theatre, my family was all the way in the front. My child ask me for drinks, popcorn to be refilled, asked once if she can trade seat with her sibling to be near me. I was then asked an hr into the movie to leave because one person complained about my child. Staff then lied said that I was asked multiple times to be quiet, they said there where multiple complaints about my kids climbing furniture which never once happened. when asked for video footage proving kids where all over furniture and that staff spoke to me multiple times they refused to look up evidence to back up the allegations instead supervisor denied me access to continue watching movie with my family and They refused to refund me my money for not being able to finish watching the movie with my family. overall my whole experience was terrible. I believe I was treated unfairly and was singled out on an experience i should of enjoyed with my family. I pray something can be done about...
