So this is my 2nd visit here. I decided to give this store another chance because they do have a lot of games. All the good stuff has no prices on it, so of course you get the never pleasant and awkward, “i have to look it up” that everyone loves to hear. The owner of the store who I believe is the older big guy with glasses is SO rude on how he goes about giving you a price. Just makes snide comments and does not budge on his high prices. He simply will not work with you on the price and is not nice about it. You know, i was almost willing to buy one of the games for his asking because it wasn’t a terrible price but when i countered $20 less, he says “no” in a incredibly mean spirited way. That was the final straw. Instead of thinking about paying his price after him saying no rudely, i just put the game on the counter, said ok never mind, and walked out. There is nothing personable about this guy, and it boggles the mind on why an owner would act this way towards their potential customers….it’s no wonder why video game stores are a dying industry.
Update response to Owner:
The owner’s response is a testament to this guy’s bad behavior and attitude. Just check his response to his other bad reviews on here before mine and you can already tell what ur gonna deal with walking into his store. Your statement seems to be at odds with each other because first, you talk about “wasting time to look stuff up” but then go to justifying yourself not wanting to price tag and put out on the sales floor “oddball” or “good games” because of how volatile the market is just because you’re paranoid of someone catching you on a slip. How about you just price all your games like a good game store? How does that sound? A lot of these games have been sitting in ur store forever collecting dust; and nothing seems to move on stuff you probably paid $2 on from when you ripped someone else off. Seriously it seems like there is a lot of wasted space in his store because he crams alot of games on the floor behind the counter with him. World Series Baseball is an extremely common and cheap game gear game whether its sealed or not. (Go ahead on eBay and look it up) So when he throws me his $100 price on it, it’s that moment where we both know its not worth that and I’m thinking ok dude; maybe relax a little on that extremely rare World Series Baseball sitting behind your counter that ur so scared someone will get a good deal on if you price it. So anyway, i look on pricecharting and see 2 recent sales, 1 for $100 and another for $200. But if you go on eBay, they’re not there. Any smart game collector knows pricecharting is an extremely unreliable site that does not accurately capture sales data. You always go directly on eBay especially if its that recent. Surf Ninjas was your only decent price at $150, and i figured okay, you’re throwing a price, I’m going to counter at $130. But when that counter happened it was a incredibly rude no. If you’re not gonna price your games, you have to expect a counter. I get it that you are firm on ur price, but there is a nicer way to talk to ur customers, and i was seriously considering buying it. Surf Ninjas is not a rare enough game either where I’m like oh i have buy this not as poorly priced game right here and now without any logical thought. There is nothing subjective about the way you said it or how you were acting, in fact, there is nothing personable about you at all which helped my decision of not buying from you. Maybe you’re not aware of your bad attitude. No one cares for your comments on why “you don’t blame me” on why i don’t want it. The reason I don’t want it is because of YOU. It’s also funny how he “knows when a bad review is coming”…maybe he knows it’s coming because he actually is aware of his rudeness that day. This store has the inventory, and with a little tweak of the owner’s demeanor, it can be great. Greedy store owners like this guy trying to make right of their actions with their bad business tactics and terrible customer service are a...

Read moreGame craze in general is a great store. They're locally owned and run, they pay more than gamestop and offer better prices and deals. They also tend to have a bigger selection of retro stuff than other game stores, and this particular game craze is no exception.
However, overall, I would recommend making the trip to the mall or to the Canandaigua game craze. The guy that owns this one (my guess is he's the owner, he's there every time I'm in) is just extraordinarily impersonable. He's not pleasant, doesn't engage in small talk, and just gives me the overall vibe that having to help me in the first place is a chore. I sold him a console recently and, while I would have liked more cash, the price wasn't the issue. He was just rude and I just genuinely don't like having to work with him.
Hire someone to sit in that chair for you and do your trades... maybe I'll come back then. But for the time being I'll be sacrificing the extra few minutes of drive time to go to one of the other local Game...
