Bleak House Books — Local services in Town of Mendon

I read the story of this Hong Kong bookstore during the pandemic and knew that they closed their door. Did not think much about it until I watched a PBS clip about their store seeing that Albert and family actually relocated their bookstore to Honeoye Falls. I was quite surprised but decided to drive by to check out myself. The 1.5 hour drive is well worth it! Really liked the store and picked up several books. Honestly, I can buy the same books from Amazon for half of the price, but we need to support this type of small businesses. They provide a very unique culture and vibe to the community. If you like the coffee house vibe, the smell of new (and old!) books, a sweet location in a picturesque village, great customer service, and locally owned businesses, this place is for you.

If none of these things don't scratch your itches, you should stop by anyhow because it's probably been a decade since you've been in a legitimate bookstore, and you need to know what you're missing!
