I needed a new wedding ring when my old one experienced a trauma, so after reading about Matero on Nextdoor Neighbor, I decided to try them out. I was just a "Lookee Lou" but both Steve and Sue were attentive, interested and pleasant as I wandered from case to case, looking at all the shiny things, without a clue as to what I wanted. They never lost patience, and dug out anything I wanted, which was a lot. They colored diamonds with sharpies to show me different colors and never showed frustration. I dragged my husband back, having changed my mind about what I wanted completely, and they were as gracious as ever. After long discussions, I decided to add stones to my engagement ring and make it a "set" with my new wedding ring, but of course I had questions about colors, sizes of stones, sizes of rings, etc. Steve was unfailing patient and very helpful in his suggestions, from type of stone, to colors of stones to sizing (because I have a finger that swells and shrinks all within the same day,) all of which were absolutely on target. I would have made some unfortunate errors without his help. We now feel like family and I got THE most gorgeous rings, simply by adding two stones to my brilliant cut diamond, and making an attractive diamond/colored stone band to match. I am thrilled and would never go anywhere else. Steve WANTS you to get what you want and he wants to make sure you are satisfied. And happy. They are consummate professionals, with seemingly endless knowledge about stones and jewelry. They are patient kind, cordial, welcoming and always gracious, as if nothing is too much trouble. I have been using Steve and Sue as my jewelers for close to 20 years. They are phenomenal. They are both so welcoming, patient, attentive, creative, professional and committed to exceptional customer service. I know I can trust them completely. They have done everything for me from creating custom pieces to making repairs large and small. I have on several occasions come in with a drawing on a small piece of paper and I am never disappointed by their ability to produce exactly what I want or improve upon it. They are truly the best, Steve does amazing design work and custom jewelry, Sue is always very helpful with any questions you may have. Their display cases are filled with a gorgeous mix of custom pieces, estate jewelry, and jewelry from other designers as well, with exceedingly fair pricing. Recently, they helped me design and bring to life my engagement ring and I could not be happier with the result!
