I just left the store about 20 minutes ago and had a very frustrating experience. I tried to speak with a manager, but after waiting several minutes, no one could locate one. I’ve been calling customer service since I left, and no one has answered the phone.
At the deli counter, another woman and I waited nearly 10 minutes for someone to assist us. There was an employee nearby cleaning, and when we asked for help, she simply pointed outside. I ended up calling the customer service desk from the deli area. Eventually, someone came over and went outside to bring in the deli employee from the parking lot.
When she arrived, she looked like she had just rolled out of bed—wearing dirty sweatpants and holding her phone. She went straight behind the counter, didn’t wash her hands, and immediately started putting on gloves. That’s completely unsanitary—your hands should be clean before you even touch the gloves, especially when handling cold cuts. If this is what they do in front of customers, I can only imagine what happens when no one is watching.
The other woman and I both walked away, and the employee muttered under her breath, “I came in from outside for this? Y’all made me put my gloves on and now you leaving?” That’s when I tried again to find a manager, but the woman overseeing self-checkout also couldn’t locate one.
This used to be one of my favorite stores, but the customer service and overall management have seriously gone downhill. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism and care. Stores like Wegmans or Whole Foods are miles ahead...
Read moreI find it absolutely unacceptable to confuse customers while looking through the isles for products they want to buy. Today I was deceived by marketing tactics of placing an eye catching yellow sale sign next to organic blueberries and then and then a white regular price for organ blueberries a bit further away. i was surprised when at the cash register alerted me to the huge price. i to talk with the manager who i pulled yo the scene to see for herself. Unfortunately she became extremely defensive and maintained that the sale price tag of $5:99 is for the non organic blueberries and the organic berries is $8:99. At the same time as we were approaching the fruit isle, the guy stocking fruit on opposite side of isle walked over and tried to take down the sale sign because he over heard me tslk about it earlier. I reminded him i already have a picture of that and should leave it up for the manager to see. The manager walked away with no apologies on the part of Stop n Shop worker's error or deception/ misrepresentation of price tag. This is not the first time this has happened to me. On other occasions I just paid the price and move on but today was upsetting because it’s happened far to many times. No reason for that sale sign to be there if it wasn’t to...
Read moreThis place would get a 5 star but the poor customer service gives it a 1. Let me start by saying I've been shopping here for 6 years and never had a problem. I should already be seen as a regular since I shop here once a week spending at least 150 bucks every week. I recently lost my license so fortunately I had taken a picture of my license plus I downloaded my temporary license from online dmv. I showed the manager my picture I'd license I have saved my phone plus the paper document I had downloaded until I get my replacement license in the mail. The manager told me he could not sell me the beer. I'm a 42 year old man and a beer gut to prove it lol. This manager said under policy he cant sell me the beer. That's absolutley ridiculous and I could understand if I look young or something but I had the proper identification besides my physical driver license. This manager just lost a loyal customer due to the lack of faith on me and my documents I presented to him. The funny thing I paid with my credit card I have saved on my phone. They accepted that from my phone but not my picture I'd with date of birth on it and not expired. I will be shoprite customer for life now. They never game me...
